Arts & Crafts Class is a five week class that allows youth to think imaginatively alongside their peers while making unique projects they can be proud of. Each class will be different focusing on certain projects picked by our talented in- structor. ARTS & CRAFTS CLASS Let’s get Creative! Arts & Crafts Class is a five week class that

allows youth to think imaginatively alongside their peers while making unique projects they can be proud of. Each class will be different focusing on certain projects picked by our talented in-

YEL PROJECT RUNWAY Entering Grades 4-8

New summer projects! A swimsuit coverup, mini messenger bag, ear bud case and your per-sonalized sewer’s handbook. In this Youth Enrichment League (YEL) summer camp, students

will learn the basics of hand sewing, machine sewing as well as measuring, pinning and cut-ting patterns. No experience necessary. Dress up your summer with a new wardrobe that you

Want to express yourself through a single photograph? We have the perfect class for you! Photography Class is intended to help those who want to learn more about

taking pictures. This class has a different theme every week, paired with a take home project. Photography Class is perfect for beginners, or those who are trying

JUNIOR LEAGUE ROBOTICS CAMP

Grades 1-5 Build it, program it, play with it and learn from it using LEGO® Mindstorms

WeDo software and LEGO® bricks! Students will build race cars, a forklift, boat and more, then program them to complete various tasks. In this {YEL!} sum-

mer camp, students are challenged to build, test, program and modify multiple projects, then use those projects to investigate basic robotics concepts as well as introductory computer coding. Restrain summer brain drain, sign up today.

DESTINATION MARS: ROCKETRY

Entering Grades 2-5 Launch and watch your very own rocket speed 300 feet into the air! Then it is yours

to take home! Students will make and take home multiple rockets of varying diffi-culty throughout this session. We will use these rockets and airplanes to investigate

basic aeronautical concepts including: propulsion, thrust, lift, drag and more. We will also hypothesize about travel in outer space, how to get a United States astro-

naut to Mars and life on Mars. Do you have the right stuff? Monday July 22 - 26

TAE KWON DO Tae Kwon Do is the martial art of choice for all ages. This course will offer you a unique form of aerobic exercise and give you the opportunity to learn self-defense techniques to protect yourself

AUGUST ACTIVIES

YOUTH BABYSITTING/CPR/AED CLASS

Students will learn the fundamentals of childcare (feeding/diapering/etc..), child safety (choking emergencies/home hazards/etc...), and also learn CPR/AED! This is a great class to build confidence as they enter the exciting world of babysitting, or if they are starting

to stay home alone for the first time. The class is taught by using an assortment of relevant videos, hands on skill learning sessions, and games. Enrolled students will

receive: A digital course book prior to the start of class, a completion certificate, and an American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR/AED completion card- valid for 2 years.

Students will need to bring a lunch/beverage the day of the class. Friday July 26, 2019

Community Event

Looking for a fun community event to top off your summer? Come check out Touch a Truck presented by Mad City Windows & Baths. The Village of Suamico Recreation Department and NEW Zoo staff

have worked hard to create the first annual Touch a Truck & Animal community event! There will be many different motor vehicles,

tractors, and equipment for families to experience! In addition there will be opportunities for one-on-one interaction with a number of

different animals throughout the day. Come on out to participate in such a unique event!
