English Part 2 (Freshmen & Sophomores) This basic grammar course will focus on parts of speech, punctuation, spelling skills, sentence structure, reading re- sponses, a novel study, and essay writing format. Sciences This is a general science class for grades 9 - 12. It will cover scientific inquiry and relate science to our everyday world. Algebra 1 This course will include a review of general Algebra con- cepts including expressions, equations factoring and graph- ing. Algebra 2 This course extends coverage of traditional Algebra 1 con- cepts. The applications of algebraic skills in a variety of problem-solving situations are included. Technology may be integrated into this class. Reader’s/Writer's Workshop This course is designed for Middle School students who wish to further develop their English language skills. The focus will be on group work to develop speaking, listening, reading comprehension and language skills. Regular Schedule: June 9 - June 28, 2018

How to Register:

1. Fill out a registration form. These can be foundin the Business Office, Middle School Office, orHigh School Office. Be sure to use a separateapplication form for each student.

2. Submit the completed registration form alongwith payment to the American School of KuwaitBusiness Office.

Important: In order to receive credit for courses, students must have failed the credit course previ-ously. Students must have a counselor or adminis-trator sign their registration certifying the failure.

Tuition: Each Session: KD 160 - ASK Students

Each Session: KD 175 - Non-ASK Students

Cancellation Policy: Full refunds will be granted before June 1, 2018. After this date, there will be no refunds. Also, no refunds will be made should students be dismissed due to behavior or attendance issues. Finally, any emergency refunds due to an accident or medical issue will be reviewed on an individual basis by the Head of Summer School Programming.

Attendance Policy: The ASK Summer Program expects perfect attendance. Please note, the start date is Saturday, June 9th. On the first day, all sessions will meet in the Auditorium at the scheduled start time.
