GENERAL INSTRUCTIONSEnrollment is limited to a maximum of 3 credit hours per semester with a maximum of 9 credit hours for the entire summer. Exceptions

may be made by Associate Dean in rare and compelling circumstances. Submit written requests for overload permission to Assistant Dean Ivy Banks via Mary Cooke at [email protected].

Immigration Law will meet on Saturdays, June 27, July 11, July 18, and July 25, from 9:00 a.m. to noon - classroom to be assigned; a visit to the Immigration Court, USCIS and USICE in Cleveland will be scheduled during the week of July 13. Attendance is required at all sessions to receive credit for this course.

More than 3 credits during any 7-day calendar week during summer would result in an overload and must be approved. Up to 9 credits maximum of non-overlapping credits is permitted.

Students must complete Contracts and Property prior to enrolling into this course. This course meets MWF August 3 through August 12, 2015.

These courses are graded on a credit/non-credit basis.

The Summer Trial Academy will run from Monday, August 17 through Friday, August 28, 2015. Classes will normally run from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., but several evening sessions may also be required.

Successful completion of 28 or more semester credits AND permission of the Instructor. You MUST contact the Instructor to set up a placement before enrolling. Clinical Seminar I - Ext. Place and Clinical Seminar I - SEED can not exceed a total of 12 credits combined. This is a combination of a clinical work experience and a classroom component. Part II is not required, but Part II may NOT be taken unless Part I has been successfully completed.

Completion of at least either First Year Day or Second Year Evening and any stated prerequisites.

Professor Cole's Trial Advocacy Class will meet on six days: Sunday, May 11, and Monday, May 19 through Friday, May 23 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Attendance at all class sessions is mandatory in order to receive credit for this course.

The ABA Standards provide that a student may take no more than 4 online credits in one term and may count no more than 12 online credits toward the J.D. degree. No student may take both online courses offered this summer. Also, students must complete 28 credit hours toward the J.D. degree before taking an online course.

The absolute maximum load for any combination of sessions and courses during the summer is 9 credits. More than 3 credits at any one time during the summer is an overload. Any combination of sessions that causes an overload of 4 or more credits is an overload.

When a student is in class for more than twelve hours a week, the student may not work more than 20 hours during that given week. This is an ABA restriction that cannot be waived.

The ABA Standards provide that a student may take no more than 4 online credits in one term and may count no more than 12 online credits toward the J.D. degree. No student may take both online courses offered this summer. Also, students must complete 28 credit hours toward the J.D. degree before taking an online course.

Biodiversity, Climate Change, and Renewable Energy: Emerging Legal Issues will meet for two weeks, Monday - Friday, May 13 - May 24 from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. There will be an all-day take home exam on Saturday, May 25th.

The absolute maximum load for any combination of sessions and courses during the summer is 9 credits. More than 3 credits at any one time during the summer is an overload. Any combination of sessions that causes an overload of 4 or more credits is an overload.

When a student is in class for more than twelve hours a week, the student may not work more than 20 hours during that given week. This is an ABA restriction that cannot be waived.

Alternative Dispute Resolution will meet Monday - Friday, May 20-24 from 9am to 5:00pm. Attendance at all class sessions is required to receive credit for this course. Due to the high demand for this course, the last day to drop this course is Friday, May 17, 2013.

Professors William Rickett & Michael Rickett''s Trial Advocacy I classes will meet Sunday, August 1 and Saturday, August 7 from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Sunday, August 8 from 8:00 a.m. - noon, Monday August 9 - Wednesday, August 11 from 8:00-5:00; and Thursday-Friday, August 12-13 from 8:00-noon. Immigration Law will meet on Saturdays, July 12, July 19, July 26 and August 2, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to noon; a visit to the USCIS & FOIR in Cleveland will be scheduled during a weekday. Attendance is required at all sessions to receive credit for this course.

When a student is in class for more than twelve hours a week, the student may not work more than 20 hours during that given week. This is an ABA restriction that cannot be waived.

The absolute maximum load for any combination of sessions and courses during the summer is 9 credits. More than 3 credits at any one time during the summer is an overload. Any combination of sessions that causes an overload of 4 or more credits is an overload.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Immigration Law will meet on Saturdays, July 9, July 16, July 23 and July 30, 2005 from 9:00 a.m. to noon; a visit to the USCIS (former INS) in Cleveland will be scheduled during a weekday. Attendance is required at all sessions to receive credit for this course.

The absolute maximum load for any combination of sessions and courses during the summer is 8 credits. More than 3 credits at any one time during the summer is an overload. Any combination of sessions that causes an overload of 4 or more credits is an overload.

To avoid being closed out of a class, students are permitted to register for classes prior to receiving authorization for an overload. If the student is denied permission for an overload, the student must change his or her schedule immediately upon notification by the Dean's office to receive the maximum refund.

Successful completion of 28 or more semester credits AND permission of the Instructor. You MUST contact the Instructor to set up a placement before enrolling. Credit for 696/697 not to exceed 6 credits. Clinical Seminar I and II may only be taken once each. this is a conbination of a clinical work experience and a classroom component. Part I emphasized legal interviewing, legal drafting, and negotiation. Part II entails a clinical work experience. Part II is not required, but Part II may NOT be taken unless Part I has been successfully completed.

Alternative Dispute Resolution will meet from Monday May 23 through Friday, May 27, 2005 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Attendance is required at all sessions to receive credit for this course. Students must drop this course by May 16 in order to finalize the roster in this high demand course prior to the beginning of class. Professor will not authorize a drop after this date.

Successful completion of 28 credit hours, Basic Business Associations (626) OR Corporations (633) AND permission of NBLC Director, Stephen R. Cook.

Enrollment is limited to a maximum of 4 credit hours per each summer session with a maximum of 8 credit hours for the entire summer.

To avoid being closed out of a class, students are permitted to register for classes prior to receiving authorization for an overload. If the student is denied permission for an overload, the student must change his or her schedule immediately upon notification by the Dean's office to receive the maximum refund.

Successful completion of 28 or more semester credits AND permission of the Instructor. You MUST contact the Instructor to set up a placement before enrolling. Credit for 696/697 not to exceed 6 credits. Clinical Seminar I and II may only be taken once each. this is a conbination of a clinical work experience and a classroom component. Part I emphasized legal interviewing, legal drafting, and negotiation. Part II entails a clinical work experience. Part II is not required, but Part II may NOT be taken unless Part I has been successfully completed.

Law, Morals, & Professional Responsibility: Media Reflections of the Legal Profession--Myths & Reality will meet Saturday & Sunday, August 16 & 17, 2003 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Attendance is required for all sessions to receive credit for this course. A 10-page paper is required and will be due 2 weeks after the last class day.

Evidence will meet on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday (May 27, 28, & 29, 2003) during the first week of the semester ONLY. The regular schedule listed will be in the effect the rest of the session.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Immigration Law will meet on Saturdays, June 28, July 12, July 19, and July 26, 2003 from 9:00 a.m. to noon; a visit to the INS in Cleveland will be scheduled during a weekday. Attendance is required at all sessions to receive credit for this course

Mediation skills will meet August 11-15, 2003, Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. Attendance is required at all sessions to receive credit for this course.

All classes (except Property I & II) are open to day and evening students.Student designates this course to fulfill the General Writing Requirement. GWR for ISR must be authorized, in advance, by the Associate Dean.
