SUMMER MELTDOWN ANNOUNCES LINEUP ADDITIONS AND
MELTDOWN SHOWDOWN LIVE EVENT MAY 19 The 16th annual Summer Meltdown Festival with headliners GRiZ, STS9, and Gramatik has added 17 new acts to the lineup. Heavy hitters joining the party include Michal Menert & The Pretty Fantastics, Manic Focus, Exmag, and Sunsquabi alongside fresh headliner The Budos Band – an undeniably soulful psychedelic rock experience.
Eclectic doesn’t begin to cover this lineup when you factor in strange and wild northwestern sounds from the likes of new additions The Lil’ Smokies and The Fame Riot. Appreciated for an inclusive and wide-‐ranging festival experience with majestic views of Darrington’s Whitehorse Mountain, on site camping is complimentary with each ticket purchase. The lineup announcements are not done yet. Six PNW acts will be performing on May 19 at Nectar Lounge in Seattle for the Meltdown Showdown Live Event. The act that joins the lineup will be chosen by crowd vote. And, rumor has it there is at least one more special guest waiting to join the lineup! Tickets, Festival Adventures including Horseback Riding and River Rafting, and more can be found on the festival website at SummerMeltdownFest.com.
Meltdown tickets include four days and nights of on site camping under shady pines or in mountain-‐view meadows, as well as unlimited access to all performances. Ticket additions for RVs and Vehicle Camping are also available. Meltdown is a child-‐friendly event, featuring a crafty Kids Village and discounted event tickets for the youngest among us. Adult passes are currently $195 and Youth passes (ages 9-‐15) are $75. Children eight years and under attend free. The Meltdown Showdown Live Event will feature performances from fan-‐chosen Thunder Pawh (Seattle), Lions Ambition (Seattle), DBST (Olympia), Mr. Feelgood & the Firm Believers (Bellingham), Swindler (Seattle), and Home Sweet Home (Seattle). Tickets and more information on the Meltdown Showdown and performing PNW artists is available at SummerMeltdownFest.com/lineup/MeltdownShowdown/ Located only 90 minutes from Seattle and Bellingham, the Summer Meltdown Festival is an annual tradition for thousands of music lovers and adventure seekers. With a vendor village for food and crafts, expansive shaded campgrounds, a river for swimming and sun basking, a yoga tent to warm up your dancing muscles, a beer garden, kids’ village, workshops, regional art, and the biggest lineup yet, Meltdown invites all to join us where the music meets the mountain!
