Hole # 1 is a par four with a generous landing area that welcomes both long and short drives. The further right the drive lands, the more accessible the green becomes to an approach shot. There is a large bailout area to the left front of the green. The hole defines the strategy and bunker style for the rest of the course, while emphasizing beauty rather than difficulty as an opening hole.

Hole # 2 is a long par four with a wide natural stream that parallels the hole from tee to green. The tees are set among mature mango trees 30-40 feet above the fairway, providing an expansive view of the hole. The hole narrows quickly beyond the first landing area to an elevated and wellgraded green. Players who over-hit their second shot will find themselves in a grassy bailout beyond the putting surface. This allows for a chance of recovery with an up and down.

Hole # 3 is a par three that will certainly rank as one of the most beautiful in Asia. The tees are 40 meters above the hole, which has a backdrop of a plunging 20foot-wide solid rock waterfall. All the natural vegetation around the hole has been preserved and beautified. The hole requires only a short iron to reach, but the undulating putting surface demands precision to card a birdie.

Hole # 4 is a par four of only 359 yards, but its uphill. Standing on the tees, use the right side fairway bunkers as a target because the mature trees on the left make the second shot from the left side very difficult. The elevated green has a distinct MacKenzie feel to it. Shots that roll through the green will demand a very delicate touch to feed the ball down to the cup.

Hole # 5 sits upon the highest elevation on the nine, and from the tees you can look down over holes 4, 2 and 1, all the way back to Metro Manila in the distance. Drives hit to the left of center feed the landing area, and a view of the green that floats majestically on the end of the ridge with a beautiful unspoilt mountainside beyond. Bunkers guard the green left, but its possible to hit a downhill running shot to the front edge of the putting surface for players who choose not to attack the pin as Arnold Palmer would.

Hole # 6 confirms your belief that the course may just be all signature holes. From the tees 50 feet above the putting surface, you are presented with another breathtaking par three. Club selection on this hole is determined by the prevailing wind. If the wind is up, you will probably grab a 5-wood. If its still, a 6 or 7-iron should get the job done. With a green guarded by water on three sides and a Palmer beach bunker in front, it takes steely nerves to shoot at the pin. In typically Palmer fashion, you do have a very friendly bailout to the left front of the green that requires only a reasonable tee shot to keep you playing for par.

Hole # 7, another par four, plays back across the lake behind the sixth green, but as it is a short forced carry, it is much more scenic and visual than challenging. From elevated tees nestled among trees with 60foot mature canopies, you can see the pin on the green thats tucked into the hillside. You can hit a driver or a 3-wood depending on your preferred strategy to chase a birdie. For pros, this green is drivable.

GREENS OF HOLE # 8

Hole # 8 may have you wondering if there are any Par 5s on the course, but as you stand on the tee box you will realize the wait was worth it. Driven by the Palmer axiom that you have to listen to the land when laying out a golf course, this hole is a double dog-leg right, left, right with a green that lies on a peninsula of land formed by the natural bend of a stream. This hole is all about risk and reward. A drive of 250 yards or more presents the player with the choice of going for the green or settling for a more conservative but still demanding strategy. Hit to the second turning point and the greens full depth can be used for the approach.

Hole # 9 completes this exceptional sequence of holes with one final burst of imagination. A long, well-placed tee shot is critical from the elevated tees. Massive fairway bunkers provide both targets and terror. Hit short and you are left with the choice of laying up your second shot to the first corner, or risking a nearly blind shot over a wooded ravine filled with mature mangos to the second landing. Hit the tee shot well and you are rewarded with an excellent view. From here you see the next landing area below you and the left front corner of the green.

The green of hole # 9 has a beautifully detailed spring-fed stream in front that flows into the larger watercourse that splashes along the left side and rear of the green complex. Three nice shots and youre chasing a birdie. Get a little crazy and the jungle will swallow you up.
