Nicaragua Mission Trip Cancelled
It is with sadness that I must report that we will have to cancel our
trip for this year. Due to violence and unrest in Nicaragua, it is not
safe for us to travel to that country. The US State Department has
pulled all non-essen!al personnel out of the country and is advising
US ci!zens not to travel to Nicaragua at this !me.
Dave Heller
Director of Missions
Due to the trip being cancelled, there will be no love offering taken

YYYY OUTH NEWS The youth and chaperones are happy to be back
at home from our youth trip to Nashville. On
behalf of myself and the youth commi.ee I
would like to thank some people for making the trip
possible, a big thank you to our church family, Jim Smith,
Tonya Stevens, Rev Spivey, Dennis Jones, Sharon Harris
and Kathy Stocks, all the trip sponsors, chaperones and
youth parents, prayer warriors and anyone else I may have
missed. There are so many to thank. We were truly
blessed and were a blessing to others on our mission trip.
With mul!ple mission opportuni!es in Nashville we were
able to do various mission projects including working with
a shelter for families with children, a park in a low income
area and an elementary school. Our group became very
close on the trip and as a group we were able to grow
closer to God. Thank you again to everyone who has been
in prayer for us. Please con!nue to be in prayer as God
con!nues to work in the lives of our youth.
Praise God for all his many blessings!

A NOTE FROM JIM Youth Trip Return
Thanks to all those who helped prepare food for the
awesome covered dish supper for the return of our
youth and the opening night of VBS. It was a wonderful
!me of fellowship for our church family.
It was a blessing to hear our youth and chaperones
share of their experiences during the week and to see
them grow in Christ as a family unit. Sharing in ministry
can bond us together and bring a blessing from God as
we give of ourselves. Thanks to Lauren, the youth
commi.ee, the chaperones and the church family for
their willingness to give our youth this experience.
It is great to see the children and workers having a good
!me learning more about Jesus at VBS. Let’s all show up
Thursday night at 6pm to share in their experiences and
fellowship together as a family of faith.
Love, Jim
