Dear Friends in God,

We will soon be concluding our Church year. This

weekend is our 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time and

then we celebrate the Solemnity of Christ the

King. We begin a new year in the Church on

December 1, the first Sunday of Advent. Our days

are informed by the life, death and Resurrection of

Christ which we call the Paschal Mystery. Christ

is the Incarnation of God’s love and throughout his

ministry and in his death and Resurrection, Jesus

showed us the path of love. Love is the way, the

truth and the life.

I’d encourage you to spend some time with this

quote from The Brothers Karamazov by Fydor

Dostoyevsky.

Love people even in their sin, for that is the

semblance of Divine Love and is the highest love

on earth. Love all of God’s creation, the whole

and every grain of sand of it. Love every leaf,

every ray of God’s light. Love the animals, love

the plants, love everything. If you love everything,

you will perceive the divine mystery in things.

Once you perceive it, you will begin to

comprehend it better every day. And you will

come at last to love the whole world with an all-

embracing love.

Much Love,

Through this collection you support programs that

address the causes of poverty

and provide a sustainable future

for people across the country who

struggle. In addition 25% of the

funds we collect will remain in our

diocese to fund local anti-poverty

projects. Please prayerfully consider how you can

support this collection and work on the margins.

More information about the Catholic Campaign for

Human Development can be found at

www.usccb.org/cchd/collection. Please place

STEWARDSHIP MESSAGE 33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time “ Rather, we wanted to present ourselves as a model for you, so that you

might imitate us.” (2 Thessalonians 3:9)

Most people who live a grateful and generous lifestyle don’t go around bragging about it. But through their

actions and words, others do take notice. They notice because of the joy and peace that results and other

people desire this in their own life. Know that the way you live your life may be the only interaction others

have with our Catholic faith.

NOAH’S ARK We have a nice selection for your holiday or

birthday gift giving. We have many new items.

Come in and take a look at our new rosary

selection, medals, and books for old and young

alike. There are also beautiful statues of your

favorite saints, bibles and a selection of Christmas

nativities We’re open before and after weekend

Masses or by appointment. Please call 879-4502

for more information.
