Dohrman Sinclair (Arizona Scorpions)

baseball to stay healthy? It doesnt matter to

Dohrman Sinclair which way you look at it.

Hes doing both. And doing them in a very

big way. With a three month continuous

workout of running, weights, and yoga, he is

fully engaged in the P-90X Workout pro-

gram, one designed for a 30 year old man.

Forget that he has already reached the age of

70. He doesnt let his body know it. Dohr-

man says in addition to losing over 40 lbs. onthe regimen, he is healthier now than he was

in college. Thats an amazing accomplish-

ment considering that in 2003 he had a sixth

bypass operation. After working over 35

years in financial investments and insurance

and with a grueling travel schedule that cov-

ered all 50 states, he told his company that he

was moving to Arizona and wanted to reduce

his territory. He did. By half the number of

states. Then it began to make sense to start

his own company, which he did and still runs

today. A friend who played college ball with

him at Ohio University found out about

MSBL, they joined together, and played in

the World Series in 2005 for the Coasters. He

had so much fun he started his own team in

the 60+, later added a 65+ and says he is

MSBL / MABL Adds Three More Inductees Into Its Hall Of Fame

65+ Divisions and Father / Son Championships Scheduled For TodayBy Tom PrendergastSan Jose Brew Crew had to hold on late for its first title when Matt Flaherty came out of

bullpen to earn the save as the Mariners scored three in the ninth inning before the ri

Three more members of MSBL / MABL were honored last night at the annual banq

MSBL President and founder, Steve Sigler presented Antelope Valley League Presid

Wayne Munney with his National HOF award for his ongoing service to the league and

outstanding charitable contributions year after year. Next up, Steve presented Connect

Navigators manager, Greg Schienda and long time So Cal manager, Darren Fleming w

their World Series Hall of Fame plaques. MSBL World Series Umpire In Chief Dick J

then presented the Umpire of the Year Awards to Larry Roseborough (Texas MSBL)

George Aldrich (Southern California MSBL).

Former major league player, Bobby Grich was the guest speaker and entertained the cr

with stories from his days as a player. He was very well received and one of the more

going speakers to appear. F/S player Justin Summers gave a brief overview of the plot line

his new movie about a real life father and son story, titled The Baseball Bond (Our R

Life Field of Dreams). And of course, no banquet would be complete without the raffle. T

year, master of ceremonies Steve Sigler had help from his granddaughter, the adorable M

Sigler, who looked very comfortable in front of the group doing the raffle. Once again

folks at the Rustlers Rooste went all out in making the night very enjoyable for all thos

He currently plays in the 45+ Phoenix MSBL

and says its a welcome challenge to play

against much younger competition. Since heconsiders baseball his only vice he plays year

round. His WS teams have made the final four

two out of the five years, but he believes

keeping a good group of friends together is

much more rewarding than recruiting a large,

talent-laden team who simply want to win a

championship. Dohrman and his wife Patti

have 3 daughters and a son and cherish their

family time. But squeezing in anything with a

busy work schedule and all those ballgames

well, he did say it was a vice! Recently he was

on one of two teams to represent the USA in a

series in Cuba with senior players. He also

plays senior softball (just to keep in shape).

Dohrman believes if MSBL can schedule its

older age divisions on a different schedule than

the Valley senior softball championships he

could easily recruit 4-5 more teams. I guess

there must be a real value in staying in such

great shape. He needs some more competition.
