“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great” (Lu 6:46-49)

If it is in the Bible, we can read it, believe it, and obey it. Obedience is to never compromise our relationship with God and His Word, regardless of the consequences. It's not legalism or a spirit is religion to read the Bible, believe it and keep it. We keep God’s Word because we Love God, because He loves us, and because He gave us His Word.

“Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is

begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous” (1 John 5:1-3).

“Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations; And repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face. Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them” (De 7:9-11.
