TRUST Trust in God - but tie your camel first.

Page 3: SUNNAH RASUL

THE WORLD Treat this world as I do, like a wayfarer,

like a horseman who stops in the shade of a tree for a time, and

then moves on.

Page 4: SUNNAH RASUL

OBJECTS

It is your attachment to objects which

make you blind and deaf.

Page 5: SUNNAH RASUL

REFLECTION

faithful are mirrors, one to the other.

Page 6: SUNNAH RASUL

PRIVACY

Whoever invades people's privacy

corrupts them.

Page 7: SUNNAH RASUL

WWIVESIVESA virtuous wife is the

best treasure any man can

have.

Page 8: SUNNAH RASUL

OPPRESSION

When oppression

exists, even the bird dies in its

nest.

Page 9: SUNNAH RASUL

LOVE

Do you think you love your

Creator?

Love your fellow-creature first.

Page 10: SUNNAH RASUL

HELPING OTHERS

I order you to assist any

oppressed person, whether he is a Muslim or not.

Page 11: SUNNAH RASUL

CURSING

You ask me to curse unbelievers. But I was not sent

to curse.

Page 12: SUNNAH RASUL

TEACHING

One hour's teaching is

better than a whole night of

prayer.

Page 13: SUNNAH RASUL

DAY AND NIGHT

The night is long: do not shorten it by sleep. The day is fair: do not

darken it with wrongdoing.

Page 14: SUNNAH RASUL

HUMILITY

Humility and courtesy are themselves a part of piety.

Page 15: SUNNAH RASUL

ENVY

Envy devours good deeds,

as a fire devours fuel.

Page 16: SUNNAH RASUL

THE LEARNED

Whoever honours the learned, honours me.

Page 17: SUNNAH RASUL

DEATH

DIE

before your DEATH.

Page 18: SUNNAH RASUL

THE TONGUE

A man slips with his tongue

more than with his

feet.

Page 19: SUNNAH RASUL

DESIRE

Desire not the world,

and God will love you.

Desire not what others have, and

they will love you.

Page 20: SUNNAH RASUL

PRIDE AND GENEROSITY

Pride in ancestry is really a property -interest. Generosity is a variety of piety.

Page 21: SUNNAH RASUL

PRACTICE

Who are the learned?

Those who put into

practice what they know.

Page 22: SUNNAH RASUL

KINDNESS

Whoever has no

kindness has no faith.

Page 23: SUNNAH RASUL

PRINCES AND SCHOLARS

The best of princes is one who visits the

wise. The worst of scholars is one

who visits princes.

Page 24: SUNNAH RASUL

ANGER

You ask for a piece of advice. I tell you: "Do not get angry." He is

strong who can withhold anger.

Page 25: SUNNAH RASUL

INK AND BLOOD

The ink of the

learned is holier than the blood

of the martyr.

Page 26: SUNNAH RASUL

CONTEMPLATION

An hour's contemplation is better than

a year's worship.

Page 27: SUNNAH RASUL

UNDERSTANDING

Speak to everyone in accordance

with his degree of

understanding.

Page 28: SUNNAH RASUL

STRUGGLE

The holy warrior is him who struggles

with himself.

Page 29: SUNNAH RASUL

ACCUSATIONS

anyone reviling a

brother for a sin will not himself die

before committing

it.

Page 30: SUNNAH RASUL

TASKS

whoever makes all his task’s one task (i.e. the Hereafter),

Allah will help him in his concerns.

Page 31: SUNNAH RASUL

GOOD THOUGHTS ARE A PART OF

WORSHIP.

Page 32: SUNNAH RASUL
