Itinerary

DAY 01 Group report at the Bandaranaike International Airport. Group met by the Superlink

Representative at the Departure Lounge Depart toSpain.

Arrive in Spain. Lunch not included

DAY 02 Breakfast at the hotel

See the homes of the visionaries, village Church, the old village wash-house, apparition

site of St. Michael, and walk the Way of the Cross to the main apparition site at The

Pines.Afterwards free time to visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel of

Garabandal.

Lunch included Garabandal is a small village consisting of 300 habitants and located in the Cantabria

Mountains of northern Spain in the province of Santander. On Sunday, July 2nd in 1961

about 6 pm, 4 girls went to the alley which led them to the nine pine trees, and a great

multitude of people followed them, with various priests and doctors among them.

Approaching the place, the visionaries encountered, to their surprise, the Blessed Virgin

Mary who came accompanied by two angels. One of them was St. Michael and the other

was unknown. They described our Lady: “She comes with a white dress, blue mantel, a

crown with 12 golden stars, her hands stretched out, with a brown scapular, carrying the

child in her arms: her hair was brown and long, parted in the middle; her face was long

with a fine nose; her mouth was very beautiful, with lips a little thick. She appeared to be

17 years old and tall.”

Travel to St. James, Santiago de Compostela.

Formed by Galician granite, this Cathedral is one of the finest architectural examples in Europe as it encompasses Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque styles. Additionally, the Cathedral contains numerous and valuable pieces of art that truly captivate the eye. Upon entering the Cathedral, tradition will lead as you will hug the dazzling statue of St. James. Following this intimate embrace, you will descent into the crypt where the Patron Saint of Pilgrims’ relics are kept. In the afternoon transfer to Madrid

Afterwards drive to Alba de Tormes and visit the Tomb of St Teresa of Avila and view

the relics (Heart and Arm) of St Teresa of Avila.

In Avila, The conservation of architecture in this city, to which St. Teresa was born,

deems its shrines, convents and churches necessary to visit on any Catholic pilgrimage

Visit of the Incarnation Convent, where St. Teresa became a nun. Saint Therese

convinced Saint John of the Cross to reform the male Carmelite order. Saint Therese had

started the reform when she met Saint John in Medina del Campo. Followed by El

Convento de Santa Teresa, built upon the home of St. Teresa and contains the relics of

hers and of St. John of the Cross.
