Our propeller shafts are manufactured from bright ground 316 grade stainless steel and can be supplied in

any metric or imperial size up to 3" or 50mm diameter. These shafts can be machined with either 1:10,

1:12 or 1:16 tapers. They are supplied with key, nut and split pin ready for installation. We can also

supply shafts in 304 grade stainless steel, and Duplex. 'The prices are for 316 grade shafts: 1:14 and 1:20

tapers are available with £20 net surcharge. Specify diameter 'd' overall length 'L' and taper requirements

when ordering.

Any size we advise is an opinion only and subject to trials and developments at the purchasers cost.

Please advise any restrictions to good water flow around the propeller. i.e. behind a wide keel, in anaperture, shaft to one side of keel, etc. and any factors limiting diameter, by specifying dimension fromcentre line of the propeller shaft at the point where the propeller fits, to the under side of the hull, or closestpoint of the aperture.

For folding propellers, please advise distance available astern from large end of taper. When rudder is fittedclose to propeller, or in an aperture.

WINTEC TC -15 CNC LATHE

COLCHESTER TRIUMPH 2000, CNC - 7½” wing over bed.(15” dia.), 48” between centres, 2” through headstock. FANUC controls.

COLCHESTER MASTIF - 10½” swing over bed (21” dia.), 48” between centres, 3½” dia. throughheadstock, taper turning & Ainjest screw cutting attachment.

COLCHESTER STUDENT - 6½” swing over bed (13” dia.), 24” between centres, 1½” throughheadstock, hydraulic copy attachment, and collet set.

With the above turning capacity 3” dia. shafts up to 16’ long can be machined.

MILLING

ADCOCK & SHIPLEY HORIZONTAL MILL - 24” under the spindle 10” x 36” table.(Cutters & Dividing Head for spline shaft manufacture).

HAYES TURRET MILL - 20” under the spindle 12” x 36” table.
