Failover plans are always being considered and planned for due to the nature of this rapidly changing / always fluid business with extremely limited visi-bility and dependability when dealing with Major League teams and players that include unexpected trades, injuries and ‘off the field’ incidents.

Executive summary - Supply Chain Professionals make the difference
In today’s business world the supply chain functions are increasingly more important for the success in the market place. Apple is a great example not
only because they are amazing in product design and marketing but they have a very efficient and strong supply chain that allows them to launch prod-
ucts worldwide at the same time. Amazon and Wal-Mart are other examples of companies that are well known for their cutting edge supply chain man-
agement that puts them in the top of their competition.
These worldwide and very successful companies need highly educated supply chain professionals to design, manage and improve the supply chain
processes. APICS is helping thousands of professionals worldwide in their education by providing advanced classes, seminars, international confer-
ences and monthly professional meetings, just to name a few education resources.
Now we are in the time of the year that we start to think about a New Year’s resolution. What about to further your education in supply chain? Be more
involved with APICS? Come and check our monthly PDMs, our seminars and why not to set the goal for 2014 to get your certification? APICS Central
