NOTICE TO PRACTITIONERS

Central criminal listing periodsMay-July 2017
Practitioners are reminded that at the criminal call over on 27 February 2017 at 9.30am, the representatives of the parties should have full instructions and be prepared to advise the Court as to:
whether the matter is to proceed by trial by jury or a trial by judge alone (election having been filed)
any reason why a trial should be allocated to a particular judge whether there are any pre trial applications or pre trial hearings in the matter any prospects of the matter resolving without the need for a trial the names of counsel appearing in the matter counsel and witness unavailability during the sitting time the expected duration of the trial any requirement for CCTV, video conferencing or the recording of evidence any other relevant matter which could affect the hearing of the trial.
Matters in the callover will be listed in the May-July 2017 central criminal Listing period, over the following weeks:
