Estos son los viajes en que todo sale perfectamente, las olas, la luz, el viento, la gente, la camaradería y el resultado es más que aceptable. Hablo, sin dudas, de Panamá donde nos reunimos más de una docena de amigos entre surfers y pro-ducción, mezclando el trabajo con la diversión, de-jando de lado cualquier habito mundano y citadino.Por obvias razones no vamos a hablar de éste lugar en particular, nos vamos a referir a Panamá como un todo, realmente lo que es.No hubo un año que estuviéramos en este país que no nos hayan brindado TODO. No es casualidad que nos reunamos cada año aquí, esto se da en parte por las fechas del circuito latino de surf, dónde Panamá hace años es una de las Paradas favoritas y casa de algunos de los exponentes de la cultura surfer Lati-noamericana.Pero sin más palabrería los invitamos a ojear ésta re-vista electrónica y disfrutar de lo que Panamá tiene para ofrecer, talvez el próximo año nos encontremos todos.

These are the trips where everything falls in to place perfectly: the waves, the lighting, the wind, the people, the camaraderie, and the result exceeds all expecta-tions. Obviously, I am talking about Panama, where more than a dozen of us surfers and production crew come together, mixing work with pleasure, leaving the outside world behind. For obvious reasons we are not going to talk about this one place in particular, we are going to refer to Panama as a whole. Every year we have stayed in this country we have had everything at our fingertips. It is not by chance that we meet here every year, in part we are here because of the Latin American Surf Circuit, in which Panama has been a favorite stop for many years; as well as home to some of the greatest Latin American surf culture trend set-ters. Without further a due, we invite you to check out this digital magazine and hope you enjoy the boun-ties that Panama has to offer. And who knows maybe we can all meet up next year.

G A R YS A A V E D R ABueno la verdad que nuestro país al con-tar con el Pacifico y el Atlántico ofrece diversas opciones al momento de la practica del surf, cada litoral tiene su temporada y en ocasiones las dos a la misma vez, especialmente con su gente cordial hace que seamos vistos como el próximos destino del surf mundial. Estamos haciendo junto a las Autoridades de Turismo de Panamá un empuje para que esto sea una realidad. Lo más importante es que se están desarrol-lando muchos hotel, lo cual le dará al tur-ista ciertas comodidades y más opciones. Y ahora con el mundial de surf creo que estaremos en el mapa mundial. Tal vez a las personas no les gusta, pero tarde o temprano se dará más a conocer y debe-mos de involucrarnos para que vaya de la mejor manera.

Panama gets both the Pacific and the At-lantic swells, therefore it offers many op-tions when it comes to surfing. Each coast has its own season, and sometimes they both go off at the same time. Add in the kindness of our people to the mix and you can see why we are the next world surfing destination. We are currently working with the Tourism Board of Panama to make this a reality. Another important aspect is the development of new hotels, which will give to the tourist many commodities as well as plenty of options. Now, with the world surf contest arriving, we will definitely be on the worlds best surf destination map. There are many people that may not like this, but sooner or later we will be recog-nized and we need to get involved so that all goes well.

M A N U E LS E L M A NÉsta es la décima vez que vengo a Panamá, estamos visitando la región de Pedasí. Es el primer ALAS (Asociación Latino Ameri-cana del Surf) del año en el que participé y sólo lo hice porque fue en Panamá. ¡Me encanta Panamá!

This is my tenth time in Panama, we are currently visiting the Pedasi region. This is the first ALAS (Latin American Surf Asociation) con-test that I have participated in all year and the only reason I’m in the contest is because it was held in Panama. I love Panama!

Panamá siempre ha sido un destino impor-tante en mi lista de viajes, voy al menos una vez al año. Siempre llevo buenos recuerdos, buenas olas y muy buena vibra, pero sobre todo un buen trato de parte de los locales y gente en general.Panamá tiene un potencial alucinante de olas, tanto en el lado del Pacifico Como en el Caribe. Tiene accesibilidad a ambas costas, la cual la hace un destino ideal. El agua es limpia, de color alucinante, optimo para realizar fotografías, videos o cualquier tipo de actividad. También cuenta con un oleaje muy constante, mayormente en la costa del Pacifico con un sin numero de playas, muchas de ellas poco frecuentadas, otras secretas... Los vientos suelen ser favo-rables para la practica del surf, siempre hay mucho sol y la gente es hospitalaria, sincera y tranquila. Panamá es una de mis primeras opciones en lo que respecta a pasar un buen rato, surfear, relajarse y disfrutar de plena tranquilidad!

Panama has always been at the top of my list especially when it comes to great surf desti-nations; therefore I go at least once a year. I always have such great memories of perfect waves, but most important is the good vibes and the hospitality and warmth that the lo-cals, and everyone in general, treat me with. Panama has amazing swell potential, both on the Pacific and the Caribbean side. It has easy accessibility to both coasts, which makes it an ideal surf destination. The water is clean and clear, perfect for taking photos, videos or any type of activity. Also, with its consistent swells, mainly off the Pacific coast, on count-less beaches, many of which are rarely visited, others that are totally secret… The winds are usually just right for surfing, it’s always sunny and the people are hospitable, sincere and re-laxed. Panama is my first choice when looking to have a good time, catch epic waves, relax and enjoy total tranquility!

Ir a Panamá para mí es algo súper es-pecial y distinto a lo que normalmente estoy acostumbrado viviendo en el cielo gris limeño.Panamá tiene la suerte de contar con un solazo casi todos los días del año y lluvias que hacen del verde el color más visto en el país.El color transparente del mar y la tem-peratura, lo hace casi irresistible para unas buenas sesiones de surf.Las olas son súper divertidas y variadas, puedes correr beachbreaks, pointbreaks, izquierdas, derechas, de todo un poco.La gente siempre tiene una sonrisa en la cara, están dispuesta a ayudarte en lo que necesites. Panamá es uno de mis si-tios preferidos para ir a correr y de paso relajar un poco del caos de una ciudad como Lima.

For me going to Panama is something super special and different from my nor-mal day-to-day living in the gray skies of Lima, Peru. Panama is lucky enough to have sun everyday of the year and rain, which make green the most promi-nent color you will see throughout the country. The transparent color of the sea and the temperature makes for irresist-ible, great sessions of surf. The waves are super fun and varied; you can catch beach breaks, point breaks, lefts or rights, it has it all. People always have a smile on their face and are willing to help with whatever you need. Panama is one of my favorite places to visit as well as relax and to get away from the chaotic city of Lima.

C A R L I N R I N E H A R TLlevo más de 5 años viviendo en Panamá, la primera vez que me dijeron que tenía que venir a Pan-amá estaba triste pensando que no habían buenas olas. Al llegar me sorprendí de la cantidad de buenas olas que habían. Ahora estoy súper contento de vivir en Panamá.

I have been living in Panama for 5 years now, I remember when I found out I had to move to Pan-ama I was so disappointed think-ing there were no good waves, but when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of great waves. Now, I am super stoked to live in Panama.

P U C H A G A R C I AUn trip 10, no hizo falta nada, junto a todas las chicas del Tour nos divertimos mucho, las mejo-res playas, un sol radiante y las olas buenísimas todo el tiempo, esto hizo que todas se llevaran un momento y recuerdo de mi hogar y playa Panamá.

I give the Trip 10 points, we had everything we needed, we had an amazing time with all the girls on the Tour, surfed the best beaches, the sun was always shining, and the swells never stopped, this meant that everyone would be taking home great memories and moments of my home and the beaches of Panama.
