SURVEY RESULTSBy Fern Barlow
GENDER We asked this
question to make sure we were gaining information from our target audience which is females, our secondary audience is male.
AGE Again like the
previous question we asked this to clarify that the response were from the target audience of 14-19 year olds, our secondary audience is males 14-19.
IMPORTANT ASPECT We asked this
question because our group was undecided on what else to add into our opening sequence, as the majority vote was Music we will add relevant music to our piece.
HORROR OPENING SEQUENCE As our horror
opening sequence is a Mystery/Psychological piece we wanted to know if our target audience would actually be interested in it.
LOCATION We decided to ask
the participants about the location of the film to get a idea if our original locations (Church and Barn) would spark interest.
KILLER As the themes of our
opening sequence is Psychological and mystery, we needed to know whether the audience wanted to guess who the killer was or it they wanted to be informed about it before the characters were.
FLASHBACKS In our initial ideas
we decided to display flashbacks in the opening sequence so we had to insure that the audience will not get confused if the flashbacks were displayed well.
DIALOGUE Our opening
sequence does not have a lot of dialogue involved so again we wanted to get the audiences opinion about this and decided whether or not to add more dialogue.
LEARN We were a bit undecided
on what to actually show in our opening sequence an the audience majority vote was to learn about the characters, so our main focal point is to display the characters In our 2 minute opening sequence.
SOCIAL MEDIA We originally thought
of the idea of the audience being able to interact with the film as it runs, for example tweeting under a hashtag and saying who they think the killer was, but as the majority vote was to not interact through social media we will scrap that idea.
