WHAT IS GPTENTS?

GPtents is a tent hotel that solves accom-modation problem. Each year, thousands of destinations all around Europe have sold out their accommodation capacity during big events, such as MotoGP or Formula 1.

GPtents solve this problem by simply providing accommodation in pre-erected tents. We offer hundreds of spacious tents, forming an organized tent village. You can enjoy comfortability similar to usual hotel – tents are pre‐built, ready for your arrival. They are equipped with com-fortable mattresses, pillows, blankets, towels, soap and tent locks with keys. GPtents team of young devoted people takes care of everything.

GPtents AccommodationLOCATION:

GPtents is located on Camping ORANGE, which is one of the biggest and closest campings to the Red Bull Ring. The camp-ing is serviced with clean toilets and hot showers, restaurant and electricity. You can park your car or motorcycle directly next to the tents and walk to the circuit. No worries about the traffic jams! The location is quite lively.

We are open from Thursday to Monday.

Austria boasts an abundance of spec-tacular natural scenery – from the Alps to the Danube to the Pannonian plain. And in between these, you can discover the many interesting places and stories that give the country its character. But to be honest, however impressive the Alps, however clear the lakes and however idyllic the towns might be, the thing that ultimately makes a country special are the people who live there. The Austrians

in unique, are well known for their relaxed way of life and laid-back attitude – and for their particular brand of humour. You’ll become acquainted with a very special mentality. And a country that knows how to live.

The Murtal holiday region – variety that leaves you spoilt for choice and a magnificent natural setting are integral parts of our recipe for carefree holiday adventures! Spectacular mountain peaks and sun-drenched meadows are waiting to be conquered – by you! At altitudes from 700 to 2,700 metres, from the gentle summits of the Seetal and Seckau Alps to the more forbidding peaks of the Tauern range, you are certain to live the “high” life in the Murtal holiday region. The cycling trail along the Mur river is one of Austria’s most frequented cycling routes and is a great choice for relaxed tours to take in the scenery as well as for more ambitious biking enthusiasts. The route takes you through towns and villages that go back 1000 years, past ancient castles and picturesque monasteries.

The Murtal is also thoroughly familiar with words like tee-off, birdie and putting: On the region’s three golf courses, both rookies and pros may be found practising their swings. The Red Bull Ring in Spiel-berg is all about getting your adrenaline to surge: have a go yourself during one of the driving experiences on offer at the racecourse or watch the pros during top racing events.

The tour through the Murtal holiday region includes many more stops, such as the planetarium and the Puch museum in Judenburg, the treetop hiking path high above Rachau, the Murau timber world or the “Nockyflitzer” summer toboggan run on Turracher Höhe.

HintsThe early bird catches the worm: Please note that you should expect extensive traffic volumes at the time of your arrival. We therefore recommend trying to arrive as early as possible.

The more the merrier! Whereas Daniel Ricciardo & Co. are always alone in their cockpits when they blast around the Red Bull Rin, we recommend filling every seat in your car. this will reduce traffic con-gestion and allow everybody to get to the event faster.

At the Red Bull Ring the scent of decades of exciting motorsport history lingers in the air. From 1963 until 2003, the spec-tacular Formula One races first took place at the Zeltweg airfield and then on what is now the Red Bull Ring. Jochen Rindt, Niki Lauda, Alain Prost and Michael Schu-macher all raced at top speed around this legendary track. Since the launch of the

Red Bull Ring in April 2011, Spielberg has been host to a new era of motorsport, and is now rewriting history yet again.

Hermann Tilke, a world-renowned design-er of race tracks was awarded the task of designing the new Red Bull Ring. All the buildings were designed by architecture office Domenig & Wallner.

A special feature of the Red Bull Ring are its elevation changes as well as the unique views of the track they allow.

Name of race track: Red Bull Ring Length of track: 4.318 km Number of corners: 10 Elevation: 677 m above sea level Change in elevation: 65 m Maximum incline: 12 % Maximum decline: 9,3 % Track width: 12–13 m Number of laps: 28 Routing: clockwise Length start/finsh straight: 626 m

Hermann Tilke, the world’s most renowned race circuit designer himself, took on the task of de-signing the new Red Bull Ring. The result: a racetrack reminiscent of an adventure park, homologized by FIAas “GradeA”. The length of 4.318 km corresponds to the Grand Prix circuit during the period from 1996 to 2003. Two junctions on the racetrack allow for a separation into a northern and a southern track. The lower section (2.4 km) is also suited for major events and uses the main facility’s infra-structure. The northern section, with a length of 1.9 km, can be used as addition-al space for events. A special feature of this racetrack is the difference in altitude (maximum uphill slope of 12 %, maximum downhill slope of 9.3 %).

Green light for the heroes of the track – motorsport events at the Red Bull RingWith the inauguration of the Red Bull Ring in May of 2011, the grand tradition of motor sports entered a new era. Since then, high‐class racing events such as the DTM, ADAC GT Masters, European Le Mans Series or the Truck Race Trophy have been thrilling the fans. You will be hard‐pressed to find a place where you can truly immerse yourself in the world of racing as thoroughly as at the Red Bull Ring. In June of 2014, the first premier class race in 11 years was held at the Red Bull Ring – truly a historic event.

Taking joyrides to the limit – limitless driving experiences at the Red Bull RingA car park filled with extraordinary vehicles, from Formula Renault to KTM X‐Bows and from rallye and high‐speed off‐road vehicles to Enduro and trial bikes ‐ the Red Bull Ring guarantees unforgetta-ble driving experiences. Here, anything is possible – as long as it’s related to petrol, acceleration and adrenaline. This is not

least made possible by the many tracks off the tarmac, which offer a true Eldora-do for motorsport fans in the immediate surroundings of the circuit. Whether you prefer four wheels or two, tarmac or off‐road, racing or pure fun rides: with its diverse repertoire, the Red Bull Ring has just the right thing for everybody.

Austria is located on the borderline between two great climatic regimes, the oceanic and the continental, and the weather consequently tends to be fairly variable in different regions. The normal summer temperature varies between 22 °C and 35°C. We hope, it will be sunny, but unfortunately, like everywhere on Earth, sometimes it’s raining or even snowing.

Austria uses the Central European Time, CET, which is GMT+1.

Austria in general does not have a strong tradition of credit card use. What that means is you can never assume that you can pay for your meal, room, tickets or shopping with a credit card.

Always check for the appropriate symbol on the door or till, first.

Don’t get us wrong – many places in Vienna (especially hotels and other plac-es that regularly serve tourists) do take cards. But many don’t, so check first if in doubt.

The two most popular cards here are probably VISA and Mastercard.

The relatively low uptake of credit cards in the population has its roots in tradition-al values. Austria is not a credit-driven economy; home ownership is not wide-spread in Vienna, for example.

In Austria the power sockets are of type F. The standard voltage is 230 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz, identical to the most of European countries.Type F: This socket also works with plug C and E. Your need for a power plug adapter depends on the power plugs used in your own country.
