AND HISTORIC MARIETTA THEATER
Ten years ago, a small, but commiteed group of creative people gathered to discuss the possibility of a new Community Theatre group in Lancaster County. Believing that one must “bloom where they are planted”, we looked no further than our little river town of Marietta, PA and we worked to secure a lease with the Marietta Community House for the large brick building on the property. Over the years we made building improvements, and slowly began transforming the space into the Susquehanna Stage Company. Ten years and more than 45 productions later, we stand tall in our place of quality theatrical experiences in the county.
As we launch our second decade of community theatre in the newly acquired Marietta Center for the Arts, I want to humbly thank the volunteers, performers, families and supporters for your belief and faith in the Susquehanna Stage Co. and all we try to do!
Our plans for the future, together will require hard work, real money, and theatrical inspiration--creating new and fresh plays and musicals in both our Eater Theater and the Gallery Stage. Extraordinary theatrical experiences paired with a new-focused educational opportunities for kids and adults.
Our 2019 Season is classic, bold, and groundbreaking in every way! I hope you stay involved with the Susquehanna Stage as we continue to evolve, nurture our humanity, and both create and support local arts.
