NATURE’S COLORS

Undyed colorgrowns are cultivated via a cooperatively-based farming and manufacturing group in Brazil that invests in local businesses, employs local people and supports small farmers. These organically grown cottons are available in a palette of natural hues ranging from creamy white to sage green - camel beige to russet brown; the undyed naturally colored fibers are both strong and soft to the touch. The color comes from each precious seed; just like tulips come in a wide palette of hues, colorgrown organic cotton now grows in a glorious variety of natural earth tones. From the thread we use to sew and crochet to the fabric for the hangtags the eColorgrown Collection is pure natural color.

Because organic cotton is grown without the use of harmful pesticides, herbicides or artificial fertilizers, its healthier, and safer for both farm workers, as well as the environment. It is also free of formaldehyde finishes.

ecoKashmere® Collections, knitted blends incorporating Viscose from Organic Bamboo, are known for a buttery soft cashmere feel without the cashmere cost. Bamboo is perhaps the fastest growing woody plant on Earth. It can grow to its maximum height in approximately 3 months and mature in 3-5 years. Bamboo’s growth characteristics enable it to spread rapidly across large areas, and bamboo cultivation can improve soil quality in degraded and eroded areas. Bamboo makes clothing that is luxuriously soft with a texture akin to silken cashmere, and looks fantastic in nature inspired fabric hues.

Maïsse™ Collections incorporate corn based fabric blends developed by Dupont™ that offer a unique combination of attributes that are the perfect choice for lingerie, including: exceptional durability and softness; built-in permanent stain and ultraviolet (UV) ray resistance and outstanding elasticity while resisting stretch and sag over time. Best of all, the corn based Sorona piece of the puzzle provides a carbon dioxide reduction of 30 percent, while the manufacturing process reduces greenhouse gas emissions by 63 percent, compared to conventional nylonmade from petroleum.

NEW FABRIC COLLECTIONS:

Tussah Silk, also known as “peace silk”, is wonderful due to its unique texture and sheen. Tussah silk is harvested through a less invasive method in an attempt to preserve the life of the silkworm during fiber harvesting. Tussah moths live wild in oak and juniper forests.

Energy Satin Collections are woven from Viscose from Organic Bamboo fibers for a silky, lustrous finish. A traditional fabric with an eco twist, the fabric’s long, interlaced yarns have no visible pattern, which creates a smooth, shiny surface.

Bamboo Linen Collections come from a woven blend of Long Stalked Flax Fiber and Vixcose from Organic Bamboo Fiber to create a sliky linen melange. Crisp and lusterous, Bamboo Linen gets smoother, softer, and finer the more it is washed.
