A contract is signed with a NS processor for 200,000 lb green weight. Subsequently, another 100,000 lb contract is signed with a Quebec processor. This allows Ryan to become the largest private harvesting contractor in Canada.

2001

Work begins on the development for plantations with nursery quotes from Madrin, NB and discussions with Ron Smith of Canadian Forest Service (CFS) on elite plantations.

Nepugt Eco Tech formed to develop harvesting operations in Quebec, based at Listuguj Reserve at Cross Point.

Total annual harvesting of 300,000 pounds green biomass.

Collaborative agreement with CFS valued at 4 million dollars signed with newly formed Chatham Biotec Ltd. for exclusive rights to elite Canada yew plantation research and commercial development which will produce biomass 2 ½ times cheaper than wild biomass and be the lowest priced supply in world markets.

2004

Establishment of worlds firstcommercial Canada yew plantation using elite plants.

Over 80, 000 seedlings from elite selection were planted in 7 acres.

Plantation site selected for ideal growing climate and is fully automated.

Biomass processing facility upgraded to handle 20-50 million lbs per year green biomass with wood separation technology.

On site quality control lab expanded with 3 HPLC and extraction testing equipment at Shippigan facilities.
