About me:

My name is Steve Baerwald and I am host of the The Great Northern Trendkill on www.indielove.ca.

Other than my radio show I love Improv. I take classes at Second City and The Impatient Theatre

Company. Any improv event going on in the city and I'll probably be there. I was born on a small island

off the coast of Saskatchewan. With all that water around me I became an excellent swimmer. We didnt

have much growing up so I was taught to hunt for my own food. I used my swimming skills to hunt the

ferocious Octalope (an octopus with antlers). I had to hunt it not for food, but because my gram mama

had contracted a virus known as "Beaver Fever" and the only way to cure it was the ink of the

Octalope. Octalope are easy to find because of the antlers. You cannot just jump in the water and

shoot it. Well you could but we were poor so i only had a pointed stick. I had to stalk the beast for 3

days, waiting for the perfect moment for attack. The moment came when it was feasting on a prairie

dog. I stabbed the mammoth creature in the back but its tough skin broke my pointy stick. That resulted

in a 18 hour battle. A battle that would test my body, my endurence and my mind. I finally defeated the

beast after I poked it in the eye which resulted in it tripping over a beaver and impaling itself on a

freshing chewed tree. I then cut the beast open got its ink and brought it back to my soon to be dead

gram mama. well she was soon to be dead cuz the first time i brought back the ink I dropped it as I

came through the door, so i had to run back, stalk and kill another Octalope. ..
