Regions

Cricket is growing in Sweden. To improve leagues management and umpiring standards in Sweden, SCF board has decided to divide Sweden in 3 regions. Each region will have one Regional league office which will be run by Regional league officer. Regional league officers will handle everything related to the leagues. For season 2019, there will be 3 regions:

• North region

• South region

• Göteborg region

SCF Göteborg Region

League regional offices

Each region will have a regional league office which will be run by the appointed regional league officers and their job will be to:• Make an umpiring panel. That panel will supervise all matches inside the region.

Umpires will sign contracts with SCF for the season through league regional officers.

• Communication between umpires and SCF board.• Communication between regional clubs and SCF (related to league).• Make sure that all matches are supervised and scorecards are uploaded in good

time. • Promote cricket in the region.• Arrange courses in his/her region to educate umpires.• AOB related to league improvement.

League committee

• A committee will work under the SCF board supervision.

• It will take care of all SCF leagues issues.

• Committee will have regional league officers and one board member.

Umpiring career

• Regional league officers will make an umpiring panel. Only umpires in that panel will be supervising all leagues matches in Sweden.

• SCF will arrange courses and workshops to educate these umpires.

• SCF will also try to find opportunities for their best umpires to supervise matches in ICC events. One example is Rafi from Malmö who did supervise matches in an ICC event last year.

• SCF will fully support and facilitate those who want to start their career as an umpire.
