Swachhta Hi Sewa

A Sapath Taking Ceremony & Launching of Swachh Monitoring System was organized on

the eve of ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ at Training Hall, ICAR-NRC for Orchids, Pakyong, Sikkim

on 15th September, 2018 at 10.30 AM. On this occasion, Swachhta Pledge was administered

by Dr. L.C. De, Nodal Officer, SBA to all Staff viz. Scientists, Administrative Staff,

Technical Staff, Supporting Staff, Project Staff, TSM and contractual Staff of this institute

both in English and Hindi.

A Celebration of Shramdan Diwas with cleaning of jungles and sweeping of office

premises was organized on the eve of ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ at office approach area, ICAR-

NRC for Orchids, Pakyong, Sikkim on 17th September, 2018 from 11.00 AM onwards. On

this occasion, jungles and weeds of 2000m2 of approach areas of the office was swept by at

ICAR-NRCO Staff for screening of atmosphere and supply of fresh and quality air.

A program of recitation on Poems, Slogans, Rhymes, Quotes and Songs etc. related

Swachh Bharat on the eve of ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ on 18.09.18 at 11.00 AM in Training Hall,

ICAR-NRC for Orchids, Pakyong, Sikkim organized. Altogether 20 Staff of this institute

participated in the aforesaid program.

A Celebration of Shramdan Diwas with cleaning of jungles and sweeping at public

places (Nag Mandir & Bhanu Bhatika, Pakyong) was organized on the eve of

‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ on 19th September, 2018 from 3.00 PM onwards. On this

occasion, jungles and weeds of 1500m2 of public places were cleaned and swept by

at 16 number of ICAR-NRCO Staff for screening of atmosphere and supply of fresh

and quality air.

A Campaign on Swachh Bharat was organized at Pakyong, Dickling Road on the

eve of ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ on 20th September, 2018 from 2.30 PM onwards. On this

occasion, 16 numbers of ICAR-NRCO Staff participated in the program.

An awareness program on organic compost management through vermicomposting

was organized at Research Farm, ICAR-NRC for Orchids, Pakyong on the eve of

‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ on 21st September, 2018 from 11.00 AM onwards. On this

occasion, 20 numbers of ICAR-NRCO Staff participated in the program.

A program on organic compost management through leaf mould collection was

organized at Research Farm, ICAR-NRC for Orchids, Pakyong on the eve of

‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ on 22nd September, 2018 from 11.00 AM onwards. On this

occasion, 15 numbers of ICAR-NRCO Staff participated in the program.

A program on display of banner was organized at Office Premises, ICAR-NRC for

Orchids, Pakyong on the eve of ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ on 23rd and 24th September, 2018

during Visit of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.

An awareness program on sanitation and cleaning was organized at Elbethel School,

Pakyong, Sikkim on the eve of ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ on 27th September, 2018 from

10.30 AM onwards. On this occasion, 21 numbers of Staff of ICAR-NRC for

Orchids, Pakyong, Sikkim, 120 students and 10 teachers of El Bethel School

participated in the program.

A program on Essay Writing was organized in Conference Hall, ICAR-NRC for

Orchids, Pakyong on the eve of ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ 28th September, 2018. On this

occasion, 14 staff of ICAR-NRC for orchids participated.

A program on organic compost management through leaf mould collection was

organized at Research Farm, ICAR-NRC for Orchids, Pakyong on the eve of

‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ on 29th September, 2018 from 11.00 AM onwards. On this

occasion, 14 numbers of ICAR-NRCO Staff participated in the program.

An Award Ceremony on ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ was organized in Training Hall, ICAR-

NRC for Orchids, Pakyong on 2nd October , 2018 from 11.00 AM onwards. On this

occasion, 40 numbers of ICAR-NRCO Staff participated in the program. Out of 40

NRCO Staff, 11 participants were awarded for essay writing and 6 participants were

awarded for active participation in ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ program.
