HOW TO USE

Beforefirstuse,removeallpackaging

ItisimportanttoensurethecorrectplugadaptorisusedwhenoperatinginacountrynotusingtheUK13Ampsocketsystem.Ifindoubt,consultaqualifiedelectrician.

• Donotremovetheteapotfromthebaseduringthefillingcycleasscoldingwaterwillbeejected.

• Afterfillingthetank,ensurethecapisproperlysecured.Donotopenthecapduringtheboilingcycle

• Aftertheteamakingcycleiscomplete,waitafewminutesbeforeremovingthefillercapasitwillbehot.

• Filltheceramicjugwithwaterto1”(25mm)belowtop.• Openthelidandremovethetankcapbyturningitanti-clockwise• Pourthewaterfromthejugintothetankandreplacethetankcapbyturningitclockwise.• Placetheceramic jugbackon it’sstandontheTEASMADE,ensuringthat it isresting

firmlyagainstthesafetyswitch• PresstheTEANOWbuttonandwait• Inafewminutesthewaterinthetankwillboilandbeejectedintothepot.Youwillhearthe

traditionalTEASMADEwoosh!asthewaterisejectedfromthetankintotheceramicpot.• Oncethisprocessiscomplete,discardthewaterfromthepot• YourTEASMADEisnowcleanandreadytouse.

SETTING THE CLOCKRemovethelidfromtheTeasmade.Thereare2adjustmentknobs.Oneistosettheclock,theotheristosetthealarm.Settheclockfirstthensetthealarm.Note:Theclockadjustmentknobneedstobepresseddownandturned.

ALARM WITH TEA BUTTONThisbuttonoverridestheONsettingoftheALARMONLYfunction.Thisbuttonhas3settings:

• SET(forTea+Alarm)• OFF(fornofunction)• TEANOW(startstheteamakingprocessonpressingifthetankisfilledandthejugisin

position)• IntheONposition,teamakingwillstartatselectedalarmtime.•ALARM ONLY BUTTONSetAlarmwithTeabuttontoOFFposition.Use this buttonwhen the teamaking function is not required. This button has3settings:

• SET(forAlarmonly)• OFF(nofunction)

TEA WITH ALARMUsethejugtofillthetank(donotover-fill).PutTeabags(orrequiredamountofcoffeeintotheemptyjugaplaceinthejugdockensuringthatthesafetyswitchispressed.

PuttheALARM+TEAbuttonintotheONposition.Theteamakingprocesswillstartatselectedalarmtimebeforethealarmsounds.ThissettingwilloverridetheONsettingofAlarmOnlyfunction.

CLOCK LIGHT DIMMER

Remove the lid to find the clock light dimmer control. Adjust for best night timeconditions.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCEEnsure the product is unplugged from the mains and completely cooled beforecleaning.Thepotshouldbecleaneddailywithwarmsoapywater,thenrinsedwithcleanwater.Donotleavewaterinthetankforlongperiods.Waituntiltheproducthascooledbeforeemptyingthetank.Theoutsideoftheunitcanbecleanedwithasoftclothmoistenedwithamilddetergentsolution.

DONOTUSECHEMICALORABRASIVECLEANERS.DONOTIMMERSETHEUNITINWATER.

DESCALINGExcessive limescalebuild-upwillhurt yourpreciousTEASMADE! It is important tode-scaletheproductregularly inordertomaintainbestperformance.Useagoodde-scalingagentavailablefrommostsupermarkets.Fill thetankusingthepotandincludethede-scalingagent.LEAVETHEFILLERCAPOFFonthisoccasion.Placetheemptypotonit’sstand,ensuringitisincontactwiththesafetyswitch.PresstheTEANOWbutton.Thewaterinthetankwillboil.Note:Withthefillercapofftherewillbeanincreasedamountofsteamsobecareful.Oncethewaterinthetankisboiling,presstheTEANOWbuttontoswitchitoff.

Carefully replace the filler cap and press the TEA NOW button once again. Thewaterwillbeejectedintothepot.Thiswillde-scaleallthepipesandtubesinsidetheTEASMADE.Oncede-scalingiscomplete,allowtheunittocoolandrinsethetankandpotincleanwater.
