As Electrical Electronics and Services Exporters’ Association (TET), we represent electrical electronics industry which is among the most exporting industries of Turkey with more than 7 thousand member companies. The companies of Turkey, which creates the highest employment, has the largest R & D center and is the champion of the patent, are involved in this industry.

TET demonstrating the power of our country in the technology with approximately 13 billion dollar exports last year comprises many different companies from white goods to television, from cable to electrical appliances and machine. In addition, we export approximately 45 billion dollars annually with companies in service industry which operate in respect of logistics, tourism, health, movies and so on.

The purpose of this visit made with outstanding companies in Turkey electrical electronics industries, is to operate for increase in our bilateral trade volume between our countries with the participating companies.

Today, we export approximately 40% of our exports to the EU member states seeking for high standards. Exporters which are members of our Association export to almost all countries in the world and we do not consider the meeting to be held in the framework of our visit only in respect of export potential. We shall also be in search of new collaborations.

Turkey with its dynamic structure, aims to be one of the 10 largest economies in the world by reaching 500 billion dollars exports in 2023. Export plays an important role in the development of Turkey's economy. As electrical electronics industries, our studies continue to contribute to this goal by 45 billion dollars exports.

We perform market research to get our trade volume up with our companies specialized in electrical, electronics, white goods, cable and information technology with power production and distribution equipment and to help us attain our goals. Trade mission organized for the first time by our Association to Sweden, Norway and Finland are also important in this regard.

The relations between Turkey and Sweden are moving positively. Sweden is in the first place among members providing tangible contributions to EU foreign policy and among the countries giving the most support to Turkey's EU membership process. Bilateral trade volume between Turkey and Sweden in 2013 reached to 3.1 billion dollars. While exports was performed in the level of 1.148 billion dollars, imports was performed in the level of 2.046 billion dollars. Important export items of Turkey to Sweden; contain textile and clothing products, motor vehicles with components and parts of these, televisions, refrigerators and creating ceramic products.

Exports of electrical electronics industries in 2013 to Sweden, reached to 204 million dollars. The outstanding product groups of exports in 2013 were as follows: electronics in the amount of 94 million dollars, white goods in the amount of 90 million dollars, production-distribution in the amount of 13.9 million dollars and cables in the amount of 4.6 million dollars.

On the other hand, Norway with which Turkey established friendly and close relationship has strong and stable economy of Europe. It is also in the position of the world's 5th largest oil and 2nd largest natural gas exporter. While the bilateral trade volume between Turkey and Norway was over level of 1 billion dollars since 2007, it reached 1.6 billion dollars in 2013. While our exports was performed in the level of 618 billion dollars, imports was performed in the level of 984 billion dollars.

Turkey's exports to Norway mainly and respectively; contain textile products- accessories-fabrics, machinery and transportation equipment (power-production machinery and equipment), telecommunications equipment, general industrial machinery, food (vegetables, fruits, grains), inorganic chemicals-medical products and drugs, iron ore - virgin fertilizer and minerals. Exports of electrical electronics industries in 2013 to Norway, reached to level of 74 million dollars. The greatest export item of exports in 2013 were electronics in the amount of 34 million dollars, white goods in the amount of 24 million dollars, power production-distribution in the amount of 11 million dollars and cables in the amount of 3.5 million dollars.

When trade volume between Finland and Turkey which is the last stop of our trade mission is considered more closely; we see that the trade volume between the two countries in 2013 reached to 1.543 billion dollars. The main products of exports in the amount of 298 million dollars of Turkey to Finland; are listed as motor vehicles, clothing and accessories, textile, metal ore, devices related to communication, leather and fur. Our imports (1.543 billion dollars) are at a higher level compared to the exports.

Electrical electronics industries, take a part as only 1 percent in total imports of Finland with its exports in the amount of 60 million dollars to Finland in 2014.

By adding Sweden, Norway and Finland to our studies in recent years on the point of expansion of mutual cooperation and commerce network, we aim to increase our trade volume. We firmly believe that companies in electrical electronics industries showing in rapid progress on the point of product variety, quality and innovative products shall develop significant collaborations in these countries.

Turkish Electro Technology Exporters’ Association (TET) is a professional establishment which deals with the export activities of its members. The Main Function of TET which has over 6.500 member exporter firms is to improve the export volume of the electrical and electronics industries on behalf of our members and in accordance with the needs of our country.
