switcher a fait œuvre de pionnier il y a 10 ans en créant une fondation opé-rationnelle, à savoir qui réalise elle-même, sans intermédiaire, des projets en faveur de la société. indépendante de l’entreprise, elle bénéficie tou-tefois de son expérience, de com-pétences internes et des liens forts tissés depuis des décennies dans les pays concernés.

a l’étranger, les projets qu’elle a mis en place représentent pour des cen-taines individus l’opportunité de prendre le contrôle de leur propre destin et d’ouvrir de nouvelles pers-pectives pour eux-mêmes, leurs familles et leurs communautés. l’en-gagement constant auprès de l’asso-ciation de femmes burkinabés Pag yiidgri ou le vaste programme social et éducatif de tirupur en inde, en sont de belles illustrations.

en suisse, la Fondation s’investit dans la formation des jeunes et des enfants aux droits humains et au développe-ment durable. son projet pédagogique t-school Project sur la thématique du vêtement, vient de recevoir la reconnaissance de l’unesCo en tant qu’« activité de la décennie pour l’edu-cation en développement durable ». www.fondationswitcher.org.

Mit der Gründung einer operativen Stiftung, die selbst, ohne zwischen-geschaltete Stelle, Projekte zugunsten der Gesellschaft realisiert, hat Swit-cher vor zehn Jahren Pionierarbeit ge-leistet. Die Stiftung ist vom Unterneh-men unabhängig, kann jedoch dessen Erfahrung, die internen Kompetenzen und das grosse Netzwerk nutzen, das seit Jahrzehnten in den verschiedenen Ländern aufgebaut wurde.

Im Ausland bieten die Projekte, die von der Stiftung entwickelt wurden, Hunderten von Menschen die chance, ihr Schicksal in die eigene Hand zu nehmen und sich selbst, ihren Familien und ihren Gemeinschaften neue Pers-pektiven zu eröffnen. Gute Beispiele dafür sind das anhaltende Engage-ment bei der Frauenvereinigung Pag yiidgri in Burkina Faso oder das breit angelegte Sozial- und Bildungspro-gramm in der indischen Stadt Tirupur.

In der Schweiz unterstützt die Stiftung die Menschenrechtserziehung und Bil-dung für nachhaltige Entwicklung bei Kindern und Jugendlichen. Ihr päda-gogisches Projekt T-School Project zum Thema Bekleidung wurde kürzlich von der UNESco als « Aktivität der Weltdekade Bildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung » anerkannt. www.fondationswitcher.org.

Ten years ago, switcher took the pio-neering decision to create an opera-tional foundation, i.e. an entity which implements projects for the benefit of society itself, without any interme-diary. The Foundation is independent from the company but still benefits from its experience, internal expertise and strong links woven over decades in the countries concerned.

The projects which it has put in place in other countries provide an oppor-tunity for hundreds of individuals to take control of their own destiny, ope-ning up new prospects for them, their families and their communities. The constant commitment to the Pag yiid-gri association of women in burkina Faso or the vast social and educatio-nal programme at Tirupur in India are outstanding examples.

In switzerland, the Foundation is dedi-cated to the training of young people and children in human rights and in sustainable development. Its T-school teaching project on the topic of clo-thing has recently been recognized by unEsCo as an « activity of the decade for Education in sustainable development ». www.fondationswitcher.org.
