11.00am Welcome to Country by Elder Les Davison from La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council. 11.05am Bondi Beach Public School Choir. 11.25am Waverley Bondi Beach Band. From midday Black Joak Morris and Albion Fair Morris dance in the spring. ‘Umbrella Theatre’ - a world of puppetry and interactive sideshows. Plus visits from a range of festival performance favourites. 4.00pm Patio De Tango (Argentinian Tango Milonga).

REAR COURTYARD OF PAVILION CONCERT PROGRAM12pm - Joel Salom Hilarious comic percussionist juggler and Eric the feisty Dog will have you in stitches as our very unique festival MCs. Capoeira Brasil Bondi Beach - This awesome display of martial arts and dance acrobatics will astonish you! 12.30pm - Polynesian Dance - the magic of the Pacific Islands will entrance you - with a chance for kids to join in!12.50pm - Joel Salom returns with Eric the Dog and lots of tricks and silliness!1pm - Yellomundee Family Band Young Indigenous talent include both traditional and contemporary song and dance in this stellar performance set.1.30pm - Sankha Ridma Dance Ensemble Dazzling costumes, rhythmic dance moves and phenomenal drumming make this Sri Lankan group performance a knock out!1.55pm - The Real Mexico - join virtuoso Victor Valdes and his Mariachi group for some spicy Mexican music and dance! 2.35pm - Official Welcome Mayor of Waverley, Cr. Sally Betts.2.40pm - Strings on Fire - A little bit of Tango, some violins, circus tricks, music and even fire stunts all come together to create an absolutely breathtaking experience!3pm - Bukhu - Mongolian musician Bukhu will delight you with his unique throat singing and horse-head fiddle! 3.10pm - Joel Salom Returning to stage, Joel and Eric just keep getting more and more fun. And outrageous! 3.25pm -Sydney Cook Island Dance Group will thrill you with their exubrant and vibrant hip swinging, arm swaying and log drumming spectacular!

A sky full of kites and colour from across Australia and around the world to thrill throughout the day with the Australian Kite Flyers Society (AKS). International guests include Karl Longbottom from England, Peter Clark, Craig and Debby Hansen from New Zealand, Liu Zhiping from Weifang and closer to home, Tasmanian expert flyer Robert Brasington. Rides at the southern and northern ends of Bondi Park, including inflatable slides, Bowral Farmyard Friends (tix at rides), extra food stalls, Kite Stalls and more! Art in the Park including glass blowing, and The Big Draw workshop, Plus the Amazing Maze and craft workshops. In the Seagull Room (Upstairs) Skye’s Butterfly Experience. Get up close to real butterflies then make your own Monarch mini butterfly kite.

27 August-15 Sept. 10am-5pm daily. Curated by Michael Richards from Kite Magic marks the 35th Festival of the Winds. This colourful exhibition features a cross section of kites from across the globe and features vintage kite images to inspire the kite flyer within! Included in the exhibition are vintage De Selby kites by John Silk and Salon Jetpack by Chris Fox. Admission free.

Program will proceed indoors in the event of bad weather.
