COURSE NAME: Nursing Leadership and Management

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course deals with the concepts, principles, theories and methods of developing nursing leaders and managers in the hospital and community-based settings. It also includes ethico-moral/legal aspects of health care and nursing practice and the nurses’ responsibilities for personal and professional growth.

PRE-REQUISITE: NCM 104-Care of Clients with Problems in Inflammatory and Immunologic Response, Perception and Coordination ,NCM 105-Care of Clients with Maladaptive Patterns of Behavior

NUMBER OF UNITS: 4 units

TIME DURATION: 72 lecture hours

1) Prepare graduates for the practice of professional nursing in general and specialized clinical settings.2) Acknowledge diversity of values and ethics, culture, and ethnicity of all people.3) Practice legal, ethico-moral, social responsibilities/accountabilities.4) Encourage the advancement of nursing science by creating milieu that fosters information literacy, lifelong learning, and scholarly
