3 Interviewing Candidates: This lecture will cover the differentmethods of interviewing and observing the candidates.
4 Employee Testing and Selection: This lecture will cover theimportance of selecting the right candidates, background and
reference checking system.
5 Training and Development:This lecture will cover the concepts oforientation, learning, motivation and different types of training
methods.
6 Leadership: This lecture will cover the concepts of a manager anda leader, situational aspect of leadership and different leadership
styles.

8 Performance Appraisal: This lecture will cover the definition ofgoals and work standards, measurement of performance against

11 Employee Relations:This lecture will cover the concepts of ethicsand fair treatment at work, dismissals, termination at will and
wrongful discharge, causes of dismissals, layoffs, downsizing and
plant closing; and the guidelines of layoffs/plant closing process.
12 Labour Relations and Collective Bargaining: This lecture willcover the concepts of CBA, CBA and the law, employee grievances,
sources of grievances and how to handle grievances.
13 Employee Safety and Health: This lecture will cover theimportance of safety at work, causes of accidents and laws relating
to safety, security and cleanliness at workplace.
14 Globalization and Career Management: This lecture will cover theconcept of globalization, basics of career management,
international assignment and expatriation process.
15 Review of the Previous Topics:This lecture will contribute to thediscussions of the lectures/topics previously delivered and
assessing the students strengths and weaknesses.
