Information Technology CCRSB 1 | Page Sync Student GNSPES Account with Active Directory Active Directory accounts are needed for students to login to computers and other Windows devices at CCRSB. To make it easier for students Active Directory accounts are being synchronized with GNSPES accounts (Google) so students only have the one account to remember. When new GNSPES accounts are created or passwords reset Active Directory will automatically be updated with the new information. Students that currently have an active GNSPES account must sync the account with Active Directory before they can login to computers or other Windows devices. Student account passwords must have 8 characters and include 3 character types (upper case, lower case, numerical, special) in order to sync with Active Directory. If the student account password does not meet these requirements, the password must be changed. If the student account password meets these requirements, go to page 3 for instructions on how to sync the account. To change your student GNSPES password: 1. Open the Chrome browser and go to https://selfservice.gnspes.ca/ccrsb_passwd.html . 2. Select option 2 to change your GNSPES password.

When new GNSPES accounts are created or passwords reset Active Directory will automatically be updated with the new information. Students that currently have an active GNSPES account must sync the account with Active Directory before they can login to computers or other Windows devices.

Student account passwords must have 8 characters and include 3 character types (upper case, lower case, numerical, special) in order to sync with Active Directory. If the student account password does not meet these requirements, the password must be changed. If the student account password meets these requirements, go to page 3 for instructions on how to sync the account.

To change your student GNSPES password:

1. Open the Chrome browser and go to https://selfservice.gnspes.ca/ccrsb_passwd.html . 2. Select option 2 to change your GNSPES password.

3. Enter your GNSPES username, current password and new password then select “Update”.

The password will need to be 8 characters and include 3 character types (upper case, lower case, numerical, special).

4. A message will be displayed indicating that your password was changed successfully.

To sync active student GNSPES accounts with Active Directory:

1. Open the Chrome browser and go to https://selfservice.gnspes.ca/ccrsb_passwd.html . 2. Select option 1 to sync your GNSPES account with Active Directory

3. Enter your GNSPES username and password then select “Sync”. Just the username is needed

without the @gnspes.ca .

4. Once the sync has completed a message will indicate that it was successful.
