Compound vs. Exponential

Australasia’s #1 Business Growth SynergistChris Hanlon

Compound growth is additional. It is linear.5+3=8

Exponential growth is multiplication. Growth happens in multiple directions at once5x3=15

Does this sound far-fetched?

It isn’t if you have the right processes configured to aid and amplify the effects of each other… =Synergistic Processes

Theory of Constraints

Before you can implement Synergistic Processes you need to remove the blocks.

It is easy to see blocks or bottlenecks in manufacturing processes. But it is often more difficult (and more important) to see them in Marketing and Sales.

For Example:If your conversion processes are not efficient, then it may harm your business to do more advertising and attract more prospects.

The Synergy Effect

Australasia’s #1 Business Growth SynergistChris Hanlon

Synergy is when the result is greater than the sum of the parts.

The best example of this is if you threw milk; flour; eggs; sugar; & butter into a bowl you would get a gooey mess.

But if you followed a recipe (process) to combine these ingredients you can create a delicious cake. –Better than the sum of the ingredients

Your business is no different.

The Synergy Effect (cont.)

One of the best examples of the Synergistic Effect in the marketing mix is Positioning.

If you attempt to position yourself as an expert in your field, or position your company as the leader in a field, in isolation of other elements you will fail.

Successful positioning will depend on elements such as Pricing; Communication; Social Media; & Testimonials (and others) reflecting and supporting your positioning.

Competitive Intelligence Report

Australasia’s #1 Business Growth SynergistChris Hanlon

When working with clients my first task is to put together an Competitive Intelligence Report:

• Where are you in the market?• What is the market perception of your

company and products?• Where are the opportunity gaps?• How can you dominate your market?

This Competitive Intelligence Report forms the strategic guide for deciding which Synergistic Processes to implement and in what order.

Business Optimisation

Australasia’s #1 Business Growth SynergistChris Hanlon

Using the Competitive Intelligence Report as a guide for strategy, our first task is to clear any bottlenecks in your current business.

This often has the benefit of releasing immediate profits within your business – A Nice Bonus!

From there we implement the processes that we have identified as being most impactful for your business and make sure that they are synergistically aligned with each other to maximise effectiveness and profits.
