this year, Synfiber will be celebrating it’s 50th anniversary. without exaggeration, we can say that the development

of workwear since the early years in west norway has been huge! Synfiber specialized in synthetic warehouse coats and stock clothing,

and eventually Synfiber grew to be reckoned with profile garments to the larger chains. today, we offer a wide range of shoes, work-

and safety clothing to several branches in both norway and europe.

warehouse coats are now historie - but profile garments are still a significant part of our repertoire. the Perfect-serie has been well

received and the handyhunk family has been expanded with strong and durable corehunk garments.

sYnFIber BASE base serIes provides good comfort and durability at a reasonable price – without our making any compromises concerning the functional details you need throughout your work day. the series is available in a broad colour spectrum to match your company’s profile, and can be easily combined with Synfiber’s winter clothing.

QuaLItY: the fabric is woven with a higher proportion of cotton on the inside, giving increased comfort. a higher proportion of polyester on the surface, enhances durability. double stitching for extra durability, 65 % polyester/35 % cotton, 245 g/m2.

sYnFIber pErfEct PerFect – unrestricted movement, perfect fit super durability! after long and faithful service, a proper upgrade of the popular Perfect series was called for.

Significant resources have been invested in the design and fit of the garments. emphasis on user convenience, durability - and not least, functional pockets in the right places - have been kept in mind throughout the development of the new collection.

among other things, there has been added a smart expansion fold at the shoulders of our jackets and coveralls. the trousers have also been redesigned for better fit and comfort. Perfect is perfect for craftsmen, industrial workers and anyone else who needs exceptionally rugged workwear.

sYnFIber hI-vIS MaXIMuM VIsIbILItY - around the clock and throughout the year! many industrial sectors require high visibility apparel and Synfiber provides complete collections for both summer and winter. en 471 is the european Standard for high-visibility clothing. the garments have fluorescent surfaces (x) and reflective surfaces (y) and are divided into three different classes. class 3 is highest safety. all trousers and jackets in the series achieve maximum visibility when worn together, safety class 3.

QuaLItY: for extra durability most of the garments have reinfored stitching and are produced in a durable blend of 85 % polyester/ 15 % cotton, 295 g/m2. contrast fabric unlined garment: 65 % polyester/35 % cotton, 310 g/m². contrast fabric winter garment: 50 % polyester/ 50 % cotton, 300 g/m². protect against short-term exposure to flames and mini-mum one type of heat. Synfiber’s safety clothing provides the following protection: a, b1, c1. Some garments also have e3 and f1.

en 1149 eLectrostatIc ProPertIesthe garments are certified in compliance with en 1149-5, which specifies the require-ments concerning product standards for

anti-static garments. the garments reduce the risk of explosions due to their anti-static features. this fabric is certified in compliance with en 1149-3. however, con-tact with the ground must be maintained and anti-static footwear must be used. the anti-static features of the garments are achieved through inter-weaving of the fabric in the yard goods. the garments therefore have permanent anti-static features.

en 11611 weLDIngthis garment complies with the requirements in ce standard en11611 concerning protective clothing for welding and heat work. Protects

against sparks and embers. Pockets, buttons and zippers are hidden and the fabric is flame retardant, which means that the fabric is damaged by direct exposure to heat and flames, but the fabric does not catch fire once the heat source is removed.

en 61482 eLectrIc arcwork clothing tested for protection against electric arc. for personnel who work in prox-imity to high-voltage-conducting facilities

where there is risk of arc electric explosions. the tempera-ture of an electric arc can reach thousands of degrees, and it is therefore important that garments are flame proof. fabric in the flame retardant garments are tested for protection against electric arc in compliance with en 61482-1-2. unlined garment class 1 (4ka), lined garment class 2 (7ka).

washIng anD care of work clothIng And footwEArall garments have washing instructions, and it is important that these be carefully followed. be particularly aware that garments made of fluorescent material can become discoloured and lose their function if washing instructions are not followed. regular changing and washing of clothing increases lifetime and reduces accumulated soil. when using a clothes dryer, remove clothing immediately once they are dry.

the product.• the temperature must not surpass 60 degrees celsius when using a clothes dryer.• teflon-treated clothing will have reduced water repellency after repeated washes. • the garments should be inspected following each wash. unlined garments:

generaL care anD MaIntenance FootwearPrior to use, shoes should be stored in their original packaging in cool, dry and clean conditions. in order to prolong the life of your shoes, they should be regularly cared for, and we recommend that you treat your footwear with a wax – or silicone based – product. in this regard, it is of particular importance that you take extra care when applying to seam areas.

if your shoes are exposed to moisture, they should be dried in a well ventilated room at normal room temperature, and not in sunlight or with direct heat. Synfiber uses only top grade leather in its products, and this quality of hide tends to have high fat content. therefore, there might appear white “stripes” in the leather. these stripes are more visible on dark rather than light leather, and can be easily wiped away using a soft cloth.

Use of safety footwear• as regards anti-static footwear, it is important to note that the shoe’s anti-static properties can be

affected by use of an extra sole or a sole of a different type.• moisture and wear and tear can deteriorate the condition of the shoes. the shoes must be regularly

inspected to ensure that safety norms are being fulfilled.• as regards use of extra soles in footwear with a safety toe, it is important to ensure that there is

ample space in the toe region. this can affect the shoe’s protection against blows and compression.• the user must ensure that footwear being used has the appropriate specifications with regard

to the safety risks to which he or she is being exposed.
