1.1 SELF CLEANING FILTERS UNITS
Designed for fluids and high viscosity media in severe production environments
Design and Properties:
The filter systems are of strong design and are suitable for robust applications. The filter systems consist of the following components: Filter housing, wedge wire element, scraper
assembly, and either manual or powered drive unit. The filtration/straining process flows outside → inside, so that the particles remain outside the
wedge wire element. The strainer’s self cleaning action removes the particles from the wedge wire element. Particle removal occurs by means of gravitational and/or mechanical means through a dump- valve. Optional mechanical particle removal can be achieved by electronic means using differential
pressure monitoring and an actuated valve. The wedge taper profiled shape of the mesh structure prevents clogging. Slot opening, open area and aperture per linear dimension may define screening performance. The filter element can be maintained without the need for specialist tools. Self-cleaning provides uninterrupted filtration.
No filter element disposal problems. Minimum particle loss. Easy removal of the filter element. Suitable for all fluid screening applications. Slot opening range from 10µm (micron) nominal
onwards. Superior mechanical strength achieves high
differential pressure ratings. Robust housing. Sludge removal action by dump valve and optional
automatic means. Maximum operating temperature limited by seal
gasket properties. The filter system is available in either manual or
motorized mode.
Calculation Data required:
What needs to be filtered? Flow in Liters per hour (L/hr). Viscosity.
Operating pressure. Operating temperature. Particle types and size.
For us, quality means developing products adapted to the client’s requirements.
1.2 TWIN FILTER UNITS
Designed for use in heavy-duty applications requiring in-built redundancy. Design and Properties:
The filter systems are of robust design suitable for deployment in a diverse range of applications.
Filter screen elements can either be surface filtration: i.e. Wedge-Wire or Sintered Wire Metal Cloth Filter media, or depth filtration: i.e. High Porosity, Sintered Powder Stainless Filter elements, all depending on application requirements.
The filtration process flows outside→inside, so that particle retention occurs on the filter screen element’s surface.
Particle removal by means of gravitational and/or through back flushing capabilities.
Screening performance defined by optimized aperture size, permeability, and particle retention capability.
Redundant spare capacity allows for uninterrupted filtration. Aperture range available from 0.5µm (micron) upwards. Superior mechanical strengths achieve high permeability with low-
pressure drop. The Twin Filter Unit can be maintained without specialist tools. No filter screen element disposal problems. Easy removal and cleaning of filter screen element. Minimum particle loss. Suitable for all fluid screening applications. Maximum operating temperature limited by seal gasket properties. Materials for Twin Filter housing either Carbon Steel, AISI 304, AISI 316L and Special Alloys to suit
application environment. Materials of filter screen elements AISI 316L, or C-276 Hastelloy. A TWIN FILTER UNIT comprises of 2 housing units containing either single filter screen element, or an
array of multiple filter screen elements in each. Joined at inlet & outlet by 2 x 3 Way Valves, to suit and flanged to ANSI B16.5, BS4505 or customer requirements. One side filter screen element/s is/are operational, the other redundant, acting as spare capacity. When indicators show operational unit efficiency decreasing, operator switches 3 way valves, and spare capacity unit becomes operational, allowing particle removal by means of gravitational, and/or by means of back flushing capability.

1.3 WEDGE WIRE SCREEN CYLINDER STRAINERS & ELEMENTS
Robust and versatile for multi-faceted applications in demanding production environments Design & Properties:
Wedge wire screens are made from bars of profiled or specially shaped wire. This enables them to be used in a very versatile range of applications.
Wedge wire filters offer superior mechanical strength and finer apertures = optimum open area.
Slot opening, open area and apertures per linear dimensions may define screening performance.

1.5 HIGH POROSITY, SINTERED POWDER STAINLESS FILTER ELEMENTS
A robust & versatile depth-filtration solution for applications requiring high flow rates, & apertures <50µm
Design & Properties:
High Porosity, Sintered Powder Stainless Filter Elements are manufactured by an isostatic compaction process of powdered metallurgical materials, and then sintered in a process of bonding the powdered metallurgical particles by fusing together at temperatures well below their melting point. After sintering, regardless of micron size, the separate grain structure of the original powdered metal becomes fully interlinked to form a rigid part. Sintering gives the high porosity material the shape, stability and property of a strong metal component. These materials can be used as self-supporting structural elements. The pores after the sintering process are mechanically fixed with respect to both size and position, and result in the following important properties:
• Shape-stability, i.e. self-supporting structural elements suitable for high differential pressures and pressure swings.
• Particularly good properties under compression, vibration and changing conditions or with high-pressure impulses.
• High heat resistance and thermal stability up to 950ºC.
• High permeability with low-pressure drop.
• Precise filtration because pore size and distribution are exact and uniform.
• Chemical resistance against acids and caustic solutions in various ranges of pH.
• Back flushing and easy cleaning with supersaturated superheated steam, chemical solvents, thermal processes and ultrasonically.
• The variety of materials used is weld able, solder able and machine able. Applications:
Chemical Industry Catalyst separation and recovery. Refinery applications. Gas and Liquid separation.
Aviation, Marine, Power, Machinery Filters for fuel oil, lube oil, hydraulic power line oil, cutting oil.
Food & Beverage Industry Food synthesis and production. Crystallization/recovery filters.
