Silk Installation Learnings• All cables should be included and shown on

the wiring diagram. Cables and connection points should be clearly labeled .

• Reorganize the SatComm equipment in the rack to leave pre-arranged space for the DataComm equipment and add sufficient power strips.

• All assembly hardware (nuts, bolts, cable ties, gaskets, silicon grease, etc.) should be provided, checked and marked.

Silk Installation Learnings• Assembly diagrams, with pictures should be

provided showing step by step instructions for mounting the hardware and routing the cables.

• A document with basic info about IP configuration (networks, addresses, NetMasks) should be provided.

• Include instructions for setting up a local Linux system console.

• Include contact info (phone, e-mail) list of persons (or group) who have the knowledge or troubleshooting.

• Better yet, send an expert with the equipment.
