EXPRESSION OF GRATITUDE

As we come to the end of the summer this year, a number of parishioners have asked about my plans for return. I have

chosen this medium to share the information with all. I will be leaving for Nigeria on Monday, October 23.

I would like to use this opportunity to thank the Pastor

(Rev. Msgr. John Maloney), the Parish Pastoral Team, the Rectory Staff and all the Parishioners for the wonderful hospitality and kindness I receive each year I come to this faith community. I count it an honor and a blessing to minister in your midst. This

is my 12th year of coming to the parish. St. Anselm’s Community has become a second home for me. I am grateful to each

and every one of you for making this possible.

On my plans for the near future, I have applied to my Religious Order for a sabbatical year. This is to enable me to get some

extended period of rest and renewal. I will be finalizing my arrangements for this as soon as I get back. I intend to spend this period in your midst. I thank Msgr. Maloney for inviting me back. I look forward to seeing you as soon as possible. I will

continue to keep you all in my prayers. I ask that you keep me in your prayers as well. Thanks once more and may

God bless you all.

Our Mission Statement We, the Body of Christ: St. Anselm Parish in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, rejoice in our parish’s more than 80 years of service to God, our Church, our country, and our community. As Christ is Priest, Prophet, and King, we celebrate the sacramental life of the Church, proclaim the Word of God, and serve the needs of our parishioners and neighbors always with faith, hope, and charity. Walking with Christ, we accept the challenge to call all people to worship, to teach all nations His Truth, and to love one another as He has loved us.
