PBL At Dulacca State School we are committed to providing a safe, respectful and disciplined learning environment for students and staff. Our Positive Behaviour Plan focuses on our three bee’s; Be a learner, Be respectful and Be responsible & safe. Our behaviour focus, each week, throughout Term 1 are as follows; Week 1: Be R&S—Line up correctly

Week 2: Be R—Raise your hand to speak

Week 3: Be R—Respect others and personal space

Week 4: Be R—Respect property and equipment

Week 5: Be R&S—Sit while eating/eat your own food

Week 6: Be R—Wait your turn

Week 7: Be L—Be organised for all learning activities

Week 8: Be R&S — Move safely in all areas

Week 9: Be R&S — Ask permission before leaving any setting

Week 10: Be R&S — Be sun safe

Please discuss these with your child and how they are ensuring that they are being respectful, responsible and safe learners. Staff are always on the look out and rewarding students demonstrating the correct behaviours.

This year we welcome Mr Campbell Wright as our new HPE teacher. Mr Wright is new to the Miles region and we are happy to have him supporting our school for lessons and at this year’s sporting events.

Hello from the Guidance Officer,

My name is Annette McLean this is my third year working in the Miles Cluster as the Guidance Officer. I have a varied role and enjoy working with students, staff, wider community networks and services that support youth and their families.

I work closely in conjunction with school leadership and support teams to assist in supporting student’s needs, socially, emotionally, academically and supporting career choices.

Some of the components of my role are as follows; undertaking educational assessments and developing support plans in collaboration with staff, individual counselling, career counselling, assisting with developing school programs and supporting students individually in their social skills, mental health and wellbeing.

The Guidance service requires parental consent and a referral from the student support team. Please feel welcome to discuss concerns with your child’s teachers in order to access the Guidance service.

Wishing the whole school community a wonderful, productive year.

Annette McLean , Guidance Officer.

Place all your school orders online with Flexischools

We are excited to confirm the introduction of a new online ordering system called Flexischools.

Flexischools is a well-established organisation allowing you to easily place all your canteen orders online at any time.

Members of our P&C have been trialling the new system with success and we are now pleased to advise that it will commence for all our families on Wednesday, 12th February, 2020 (Week 3).

Download the Flexischools app from the App store or Google Play for details on how to set up your account.

Once registered, you can start placing orders immediately. If you have any questions, please contact the Flexischools Customer Service Team on 1300 361 769, or you can contact them via their website.

We hope this step forward will support families with a more convenient and efficient process of placing canteen orders.
