Did You Know? Regarding the third prerequisite for the reception of Holy Communion (devotion and attention), we should receive the Eucharist with great devotion, attending to our reception of Him and not to other matters. Our interior disposition cannot be separated from our exterior disposition. Section 1387 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church tells us: “Bodily de-meanor (gestures, clothing) ought to convey the respect, so-lemnity, and joy of this moment when Christ becomes our guest.” Also, show respect for God and the people of God by removing gum from your mouth before entering the church. Chewing gum during Mass is not only distracting, it disre-spects the Eucharist by possibly mixing the Eucharist particles with the gum and thereafter disposing of the gum –and thus, the Body of Christ—in an irreverent manner.

Lighthouse CD of the Week Trust In The Lord Monsignor Thomas Richter This talk is practical. It is for everyone-beginners and masters in the spiritual life. We all know that growth in holiness is largely about

growing in trust in our Lord Jesus Christ. But how does one do that realistically? In this talk, Bismarck Diocese Vocations Di-rector Fr. Tom Richter will describe in concrete terms what the interior act of trust looks like, and what we must choose in order to grow in trust.
