And our anticipations are_are greatly moved when wethinkofHisapproachingtime,asweseethesignsappearing,ofHisAdvent,wearelongingforthatgreathour,andwhenweshallseeHim.2 Since I was here the other Sunday, a week, there’s been morehasgoneontomeetHim.OnewasMrs.Ford,Mrs.LeviFord.Shewaseightyyearsold,apreciouswoman.Herhusbandpassedaway,sometime ago. He’s a veteran of the Spanish-American War. AndinmylifestoryImentionedherson’sname.He’stheonethatwasgoing to save me that suit, you know, after he wore it out. That,the_the suit of a^I believe it was a boy scout suit. And he^WhenIwenttogetthepartofit,therewasonlyoneleggingleft.3 And Lloyd is perhaps here, tonight, the same boy. And I hadhismother’s funeral, theotherday.Andheaskedme, said,“Billy,I wish you would speak on something that proves that my motherrises again.” And the Lord gave me a message for it, on exact,positive. When, the Bible, all nature, everything that God created,speaksthatshe’ll riseagain.Who_whoisgoingtospeakagainstItthen? See? God says so, proves it by His nature!^?^Proves itbyHisWord,provesitbyherlife,everythingelse,she’sgottoraise.There’s_there’s no way, nothing^Heavens and earth might fail,butthatwon’tfail.She’sgottocomeforthagain.4 Then,daybeforeyesterday,amanagerthatusedtobewithme,Mr.Baxter,manyofyou rememberhim.He spoke right from thisplatform. His wife died, suddenly, with a heart seizure. And he isverytoreupandverysad.Itrustyou’llrememberBrotherBaxterinyourprayers,asyoupray, ’causeheisoneofourbrothers.Andhelives inVancouver,BritishColumbia.Andhehasn’tbeenwithme,now,foranumberofyears.AndIheardthathiswifehadhadakindofanervousbreak,orsomething,andthen,allofasudden,shetookaheartseizure,andwasgone.Wejustcan’ttellwhattimeit’sgoingtocall.AndthenwhenHe_Hecalls,wemustbeready.That’s thereasonthatwe’rehere,tonight.

I wanted to have a meeting here for ThanksgivingDay, then go on to Shreveport. Course, I wouldn’t hardly be ableto make it. And finally he said, “Well, if you got three meetingsnow,andgoingtohavethemSevenSeals,later,thenyoucouldgiveus thatoneday,anyhow.”Sofinally^Wewasgoing togivehimthatFriday,Saturday,andSunday.AndnowIpromisedhim,then,Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. And will be, Pentecost,will be fifty years old, in Louisiana, the Thanksgiving Day. Now,I’vealwaystriedto,whenIcomedownhere,on^whenI’m at^?^, to talk about something, not just to be talking, ornotsomethingthatwouldpleasethepeople.I’vetriedtospeakaboutsomethingthatwouldpleaseGodandhelpthepeople,yousee,forhelp,thatwecouldall,nomatterwhatchurchyoubelongto,whatdenomination,thatyoucouldbe^?^foracloserwalkwithGod.14 And that’s our reason of being here, a closer walk with God.Andwhenwefindthattoday,aslateasitis,andthedrawingnearoftheLord. I told my wife today, “If I don’t get in a revival, somewhere,I_I’mgoingtoperish.I_Ijustcan’tstandit.I^”Somethingjustinsideme,burning!Oh!15 We just come through a whole series of meetings, wherethousands of people attending. And no matter, if you had two or

three million people, if there’s no revival^That’s just what weused to call, down in Kentucky, a protractive meeting. You know,weallgoouttoaprotractivemeeting,we’dcallit.And^?^Wewant a revival, where the Spirit of the Lord is moving upon thepeople, and people are being saved, and great things are^?^donetoaccomplishsomethingfortheKingdomofGod.16 Andnow,intheprayerservices,usuallywe^Youcanseewhywecouldn’tholdaprayerlinehere.See,it’sjustsojammedup,youcouldn’tdoit.See?^?^Usually,intheprayerlinesispeoplewhoare^comes and they find the_the Lord to be real. And we findthattheLordJesushasn’tchangedonebit.FromwhatHewas,Heistoday,andalwayswillbe.AndtheBiblesaid,inHebrews13:8,that,“He’sthesameyesterday,today,andforever.” And in the congregations of the people that gathered to hearHim, in them days, maybe they wouldn’t get into a prayer line,but theywouldhavefaith tobelieve.AndourLordwouldturn,astheir faith would touch Him, and would turn, and would tell thepeoplethattherewascertainthingswrongwiththem,thattheyhaddone,andforthemtogoandbehealed,orgodosomething,makesomething right, or something. We know about the woman at thewell;andthewomanwiththebloodissue;and,oh,somany;blindBartimaeus;thattheirfaithtouchedHim.Andtonight,HeisstilltheHighPriestofourconfession,andjustasgreatasHeeverwas.17 Now, we got to let ourselves be His servants. He is the Vine,the_theresourceofLife.WearethebranchesthatreceivethatLife.Andthebranchbearsthefruit;notthevine.AndnowChristworksthroughHisChurch.Andthenifwecanyieldourselfinsuchaway,thattheHolySpiritcantakecompletecontrolofus,inourfaithinChrist,Hewilldothesamething,becauseit’sChrist.Andifyou’rehere,astrangerwithus^18 Now, usually, the people here^?^in the tabernacle, ourpastorherehasprayerforthesick,practicallyeverynight.Andyougetprayedforbyourgraciousandbelovedpastor,BrotherNeville,amanthatGodhearsandanswersprayerfor,BrotherOrmanNeville.And_and^?^Brother Don Ruddell, and those other brethrenwho pray for the sick. to do^?^just believe Him. And then He will use you for oneinstrument, and me for another. Jesus said, Saint John 14:7, “Hethat believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also.” Now,thatisayieldedvessel.20 Now, tomorrow, we’re going to teach how you become thatvessel, that God the Holy Spirit^?^work through you.And so, see, He^?^God, was in a Pillar of Fire; then hedwelt in His Son, Christ Jesus; now in His Church. Once He wascalled “the Father,” then “the Son,” now “the Holy Spirit.” It’sGod,^?^-jectingHimselftotheworld.TheonlywayHecouldgetintotheChurch,wasfirstdiefortheChurch,tosanctifyIt,thatHe might project Himself through His Church. Then He said, inSaintJohn15,“IamtheVine,yeare thebranches.”See?Andthebranchesbear^?^fruit.TheLordblessyou.21 Now,beforewe^?^forthelessontonight.AndIdon’twanttokeepyoulong,’causeIseethepeoplestandingup.Andonetakinghisplace,andthenanothersetdown,soforth.

We’retrying,hard,togeta_apermittoseataboutthreeorfourhundredmorepeople,butthecityseemstoholdusbackonit,becausewe haven’t got adequate parking room. We got the permit fromIndianapolis.Andthen,thecity,wehavetohaveparkingroom.Oh,whenweputfourpeopleinhere,wegottohaveenoughroomtoputacarouthere.Andthisparkinglotherereallybelongstothecity.See?They,we’re^Ourchurchhereisjust^?^onefootfromthecityline.Andreally, thehighway,reason it’sbuiltout there^Course,someofyoupeople, young fellowshere,wouldn’tunderstand this.Butthisusedtobeapond.AndIremember,whenIwasaboy,we’dridedownhere.Wehadtogoaroundoutthere,^?^getaroundthepond.Theybuilttheroadrightaround,theroadaroundthepond.22 And I bought this lot here. arequestthatthey^isburningontheirheart,thattheymightjustraiseupyourhandbeforeGod?Andsayinyourprayer,“LordJesus,Ihaveneeds.Speaktome,tonight.Healme.Givememyfinancialneeds.”Or,whateveritis,Hesuppliesallourneed.Godblessyou.Aboutninetypercentofthecongregation.25 Our Heavenly Father, we are approaching Thee. Now, as weleave this little tabernacle of clay that we dwell in, this little shipthat’s sailing life’s solemn main, by faith we’re coming up aboveMars, Jupiter, Venus, the moon, the stars, the Milk^?^Way.Andarrivingnow,byfaith,attheThroneoftheFather.See,settingthere, His pierced hands and His feet!^?^That Blood nowmakesintercession,aswelayourgiftsuponthealtarofgold,aroundHisThrone.26 We thank Thee, first, for Jesus, Who made all these thingspossible, to us, through our faith, that we’re going to ask. And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the lOrdGodof hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

And the posts of the^?^moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was^?^with smoke.

Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for my eyes have seen the King, the lOrd of hosts.

Isaiah wrote thecompleteBible.Thereissixty-sixBooksintheBible,andIsaiahwrotesixty-sixchapters.Hebeginswithbeginningofcreation;inthemiddleoftheBook,hebringsforththeNewTestamentandJohntheBaptist;andatthe56thand60thchapter,heendsupinthegreatMillennium:Genesis, through theNewTestament, intoRevelation.Greatman,wasthisIsaiah;finallydiedasamartyr,undercapitalpunishment.32 EverySpirit-filledmanoftheBiblediedorwaspersecutedunderthe federal government; every one of them that you can think of:Moses; the Hebrew children; and Daniel; and Isaiah. Isaiah wassawed topieceswitha saw.Andondown,John theBaptist,everyoneoftheapostles,JesusHimself,alldiedundercapitalpunishment,orpunishmentfromthefederalgovernment.Andaccordingthewaythingsareheapingup, there is going tobemore testimoniesaddedtotheirs,oneofthesedays.Uh-huh.Ifthereeverwasatimethatwemuststicktogether,it’snow.33 I guess you hear of the meeting going on in Rome. Andwe’re^having^They’re having a great time over there, and

they’regoingtostartarevival. It’llbeaworld-widerevival,surely.Back to this subject^We get that in the Seven Seals. To thissubjectofbeing“influenced.”34 KingUzziahwasa shepherdboy.Hewas raised, andhe lovedtheoutdoors.Andhereignedduringthe timeof Isaiah’sprophecy.Isaiah had learning from_from one of the other major prophets.And I believe it was Zechariah, that Isaiah had understandingthroughhim,whowasaprophetasIsaiahcomeonthescene.AndIsaiahwascalled,andhewasaprophet.Prophetsarenotjustmadeofmen;prophetsarebornprophets.35 Now,thereisagiftofprophecythatcomesintothechurch,thatpeoplegiveaprophecy.ManymemberoftheBodyofChristcoulddothat,that’sunderinspiration.

ButaprophetissetintheChurchbyGod,predestinatedtothegiftofprophet,orthegifttobeaprophet,notaprophesier.36 Now,nowwefindoutthatthisyoungmantakenthethrone.IfyouwanttotakesomeoftheScripturesdown,inSecondChronicles,the26thchapter,youcanreadwheretellsthatKingUzziah,afterhisfatherdied.A-m-a-z-i-a-h,Amaziah,afterhedied,beingarighteousman,andhadturnedfromtheLordandwasslainbyhisownpeople,Uzziahtakenhis,orUzziah,rather,takenhisplaceasking.Andhewassetonthethroneandanointed,attheageofsixteenyearsold,justaboy.Buthewas in line tobeking,yetbeing justa lad.Andhedidwell.TheBibletellsusthathehadagodlyfatherandagodlymother.Andhecouldbenothingelse,hardly,withsuch influence,as tobeagodlyboy,because thathadbeenwhathadbeenplacedbeforehimatalltime.37 YouknowwhatIthink?Everybodyhastheirownopinion.Butone of the greatest, and to my opinion, the greatest president thatweeverhadinthisnation,wasAbrahamLincoln.Now,notbecausehewasaRepublican,butbecausehewaswhathewas,agodlyman.Andhewas raised,andhe^toserveGod.Andhe said,“If thereis anything that Iwant togivepraise to,”he said, “ormy lifewasinfluenced by, was a godly mother who taught me to pray and toknowJesusasmySaviour.”38 Oh! Your family is what you are. You raise your child in acertainenvironment;it’sgotaninety-eightpercentbetterchancetogorightthanithasifyoubringitupinthewrongway.“Bringupachildinthewaythatitshouldgo,andwhenit’sold,willnotdepartfromit.”Bebroughtupright.Teachyourchildrentodoright,tobehonest,tobesquareandfair,evenwhenthey’reinschool.

39 Now,manytimes,childrenarepronetocopyoffofoneanother,and_and try to press their way through school. But, you know, Ithink,ifyou’lljustgetit,yourself,thenit’ssomethingthatyou_youcanappreciate,yourgood-gradedpaper.40 You know, if you’re going to have a test the next day, insteadofrunningaroundallnight,gettingupthenextmorning,andthink,“Well, I’ll setnexttoSo-and-so.They’resmart,andthey’ll^Icancopyoffofthem,”ifyou’lljust^Beforedadreturnsthanksatthebreakfasttable, ifyou’ll justsay,“Dad,rememberme,today,Igottotakeatestinchemistry,”orwhateveritis. Thenyou,whenyoupray,dad,say,“God,blessJohn,Mary,intheirtesttoday.”Itellyou,it’llturnthetide.41 Remember,wecanhavewhatwewant, ifwewillask in faith,believing. Jesus said, “All things are possible to them that willbelieve.” “You have not, because you ask not.” And you ask not,because you believe not. He said, “Ask abundance, that your joymaybefull.”Ilikethat.42 Ourteachingright:saytherightthing,dotherightthing,thinkthe right thing. Always be thinking right. I have a little slogan,“Doright,that’syourdutytoGod.Thinkright,that’syourdutytoyourself.Andyou’reboundtocomeoutright.”43 Youcan’tbegoingeastandwestatthesametime,norcan’tbegoingrightandwrongatthesametime.Nomatterhowmuchyouthink you’re going the other way, if you’re not traveling directlywest,you’renotgoingeastifyou’regoingwest.44 Sothisyoungking,beinginfluencedbyhisfatherwhenhewasayoungman,andtaughtIsraelthepreceptsofGod.Andthen,allatonce,heturnedinhislastdaysandtaughtagainstGod.Andhisownpeople^Hewasslainbyhisownpeople.Itlookedlikethatwouldhave been a great lesson to Uzziah, about this. But we find, that,whenUzziah taken the throne, thathe started right in thewayhisdaddydid,bringingbackthethingsofGod,bringingIsraelbacktotheworshipofGod.Hestrengthenedhimself.45 And I want to always be thankful for him in his young days,becauseheneverplayedanypolitics.Althoughpoliticsmighthavebeenagainsthim,but,yet,hestayedrightonthelineofGod.Anditthrilledthislittle,youngprophet,so,tillhebecomeahero.HewasanexampletoIsaiahtheprophet.46 And Isaiah went to the castle to stay with him, to the king’spalace. He called him in. He liked Isaiah. Isaiah was young, also.And_and he^They were chums, together. And how that king,whenhewouldgooutthere^

Andthey,someofthemenofpolitics,wouldcomeinandsay,“Wemustdoso-and-so.” KingUzziahfirstsoughttheLord.“Lord,isitYourwillthatwedoitthus-and-thus?” God, give us a president like that. Not only that, but give uspreachers. “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness,andallotherthingswillbeadded.”47 Thismusthavebeenagreatinfluence,becauseIsaiahlovedhim.Because,heseenthathewasagreatman,andhe_hestoodfirmandsolidforGod.Andyouknow,eachtime,inthedaysthatwelive,inthe things thatwedo, remember, thepublicdon’tonly lookat thepastor,thewayhelives.He^Theyalsolookatthelaity.48 Oh, how it’s too bad when we think of the church! Sometime,if the pastor belongs to a certain organization or a clan, and thisorganization sends him to a certain church, and sometimes thatpastor’shandsistied,bythatorganization.AndthelittlefellowwantstoservetheLord.Hethinks,beentaughtthat’sabouttheonlywayhecandoit,isbyservinghisorganization.AndifhegotupandpreachedwhattheWordsaid,thechurchwouldvotehimout;andthenhe’safraidhewouldn’thaveachancethentopreachtheGospel.49 Oh,whatweneedinthepulpits,today,ismenlikeUzziahwas.No matter what the politics of his church, or politics of anythingelse, he played the hand of God, through. He waited till he foundTHUSSAITHTHELORD,thenhedidit. Little, that little prophet, young fellow about his age, in thetemplewithhim,they’dgetdowntogetherandpray,nodoubt,andask thewill of theLord, and thencompare itwith the lawsof theBible.Then,ifitwasallright,Uzziahpassedit.Ifitwasn’tallright,hecondemnedpoliticson it.God,giveusmore likethat.AndthatthrilledIsaiahbecausehewasbornaprophet.50 And Uzziah become a_a hero to Isaiah. You see, becauseof his_his stand for God, he became a hero in the eyes of therighteous.And theremightnotbeen toomany righteous.See?Butthethingwewanttodo,ismakeourlifecountforGod.Somebodyiswatchingyou.51 I was getting after somebody the other day. In a certainneighborhood,theyhadhad^a_agreatdenominationalchurchhadabigrock-and-rollpartydownhere,andtheyweredancingtillaboutoneo’clockinthemorning.Andtheyhadbeenteasingsomeonethatcometothetabernacle,andsaidtheywere“holy-rollers,”thatcamedownhere,becausewehadnodenomination.Oh,didthatgivemea

chance!Youcanjustaboutimaginewhathappened.But,thethingofitis,now,thosepeople,nodoubtthattheyoungladythatmadetheremark,ifsheonlyknewwhatwasTruth!52 Iwasinthemountain,afewweeksago,andwayback.WhenIwascominghome^Wewentback,thefamilyandI,torestalittle,where we’re going again, the Lord willing, next week. And then,backthereonenight, I sawavision.And itwasa_a lovely,prettywoman,looked,youngwoman,running.Shehadherhandnear,andshewasperishingwithaheartattack.Abeautifulwoman,andshedroppedandwasgone.AndtheAngeloftheLordsaid,“Now,whenyouhearofthis,remember.They’regoingtosaythatshecommittedsuicide.Butshedied inaheartattack.It’salmostfour,soyoujustsayfouro’clock.”AndthenHeleftme.53 And I didn’t wake the family up, in the little cow camp, orwhere the cowboys stay, where we’d go back there to round upthe cattle. I_I just let them sleep until morning. And then thenext day, I mentioned it. And I said, “Some young woman, veryattractive, isgoing todie inaheartattack.”Andon the roadout,two days later, there it come in on the radio. That this Miss^Ican’tthinkofhername.[Someonesays,“Monroe.”_Ed.]Monroe,Mrs.Monroe.Ithinkthatwasherstagename,orwhateveritwas.Hernamewassomethingelse.Andshehaddied,andtheysaidshecommittedsuicide.54 Now,itdon’tmakeanydifferencehowmuchI’dsayit,they’restillgoing to say shecommitted suicide.But thechilddidnot.Shediedinaheartattack.Andifyou’dwatch,shehadherhand,tryingtogettothephone,thephoneinherhand.Shehadaheartattack.They said sleepingpillswas there.Shehadbeen taking them for amonth, see,ormore,outof thatbottle.Shedied inaheartattack.Andshediedaboutfourorfivesecondsbeforefouro’clock,exactly.55 And I read of her life story, in the magazine, how thather^Shewasanillegitimatechild.Andhowthatshehadwashedsomanydishes.Andhermother in the insane institution.Andshehad longed with^She was the most perfect-bodied woman, Iguess, in the world. But she had longed for something that moneywouldn’tbuy.Ithought,“Oh,IwishIcouldhavegottoher.Iknowwhatsheneeded.”Thereyouare.56 May be members of the churches of fame, finest, famousHollywood,whereallthedecorationandtinselison.Buttheyseenthose people. She could see they lived no different life than whatshe did. It takes influence. It takes the power of the resurrectionof Christ amongst the people, that they see that Christ is not a

statue hanging in a building, but He’s a living Being in the formof the Holy Spirit, living in men and woman, bringing peace, andcontentment,andhappiness.Oh,ifwecouldonlygottotheyoungladybeforeshelefttheworld!57 Now,influence.Wefindoutthat_thatUzziah’s lifeinfluencedthis prophet, and till such a place that Uzziah_Uzziah, rather,built walls and strengthened himself, and took back the groundsand the possession that belonged to them, from the Philistines,and so forth, until his fame went all the way to Egypt. And I tellyou, of all the Chronicles of the Kings, there was none of them,outside of Solomon, that spread forth like Uzziah. Why? Becausehesettheexample.HestayedwithGod,nomatterwhathispeoplethought,whatanybodyelse thought,whathispoliticians that triedtoinfluencehim.HestayeddirectlywithGod,andGodblessedhim.Itwasagreathelptothisyoungprophet.58 HowGodblessesaman thatwillbe true to theWordofGod!Now, he may not be very popular, but he’ll be blessed. And nowpeoplehastotaketheirchoice,whetheryouwanttoactliketherestofthefellows,orwhetheryouwanttobeblessedofGod.Nowyoucanjusttakeyourchoice.Ifyou’regoingtoliveliketherestofthem,you’ll be blessed of them. But you turn your^all your desires toGod, and you’ll be blessed of God. So you have to, “Choose youthisdaywhoyouserve,”astheprophetsaid.“AlwaysrememberthyCreator,first,always.”59 Now,but,whenthiskinggottoaplace,beingsuchagreatman,andinfluencingIsaiahandtherighteous,ofcourse,ofhiskingdom,hegottoaplacehegotfeelingself-secured. And there is where you make your mistake. There is where somany righteousmenbite thedustof shame,biteofdustofdefeat,is because they begin to feel self-secure. You begin to think thatyouhavelivedsolongforChrist,that,nomatterwhatHepresentsbefore you, you’ll take your choice whether you want It or not.You’vegottocontinuetoserveGod.Nomatterwhatyouwas,backtenyearsago,it’swhatyouarenow.60 Thekinggottoaplacethathethoughtwithinhimself,that,hegotliftedup.Pridegotinhisheart. Andthat’swhathappenstous.Ifyou’llpardonthisexpression,that’s what’s happened to our churches throughout the country.They’re fine people in there. Some of the best in the world goesto church. I think the best in the world goes to church. But thething of it is, the_the organization system gets lifted up. That’swhat’shappened to the_theMethodist.That’swhat’shappened to

theBaptist.That’swhat’shappenedtotheNazarene,tothePilgrimHoliness, to the Pentecostal; lifted up, self-willed, self-centered,pride,thatyoucan’ttellnothingto.Godcan’tfindawaytogetintotheirhearts.It’sbecausetheybecomesoknow-it-allthatnobodycantellthemanything.Andbybuildingthemselfaroundreasoning,withbrethren, theybuild themselvesaroundtheircreed.Andwhentheydo,theyleaveGodintheback.61 That’swhathappenstodoctors.Whentheygetsoself-centeredthat they don’t need any help from God, that’s when I don’twant_wantonefoolingwithme.Right.Yes.WhenyouleaveGodoutofanything,you,Iwantyoutoleavemeout,too.See?Because,youmustalwaysrememberGodfirst. Hegotliftedup.62 So many, today, you take a_a family of people that will startgoing to church, and God will heal the little family. He will blessthemandgive themtheHolySpirit in their life.The littlechildrenwill pray, around the table. They’ll pray before they go to bed.Mother and father will join hands and pray. And as long as theycontinuelikethat,they’llstayafamily.Butyouletthemget^Firstthingyouknow, theydidn’thavenothing;anold junkcar,maybe,ridingaroundin,ormaybewalking. Finally they’ll get a good car, a better home. And the firstthing you know, then they want to get to what they, the world,calls,“abetterclass,”toassociatewith.Theymoveintoadifferentneighborhood,andinthere,theyfindouttheybecomeinfluencedbythewronginfluence. YoumustalwaysstaywheretheKingdomofGodis,andwherethe gloryofGod is pouringout.Staywhereyou canbe spirituallyfed,dayandnight.Thenthefirstthingyouknow,separationscomesinthehome,andworldliness,andtheygetliftedup.63 Uzziahdidthat.Hegotliftedup;muchpride.Andnowweseewhathetriedtodo.Now,whatreallygothim,whenhegotliftedup,inhisheart,we’retoldintheBible.InChroniclesthe26th,wefindout,SecondChronicles26.WefindoutthathewentintothetempleoftheLord,withacensorinhishand,toburnincenseuntotheLord.Andwhenhedid, theministerof the temple,with fourscoreotherministers,followedhimandtoldhim,“Don’tdothat.You’rewrong.Youarenotaminister.Youareaking,notaminister.”64 And he was wroth, and he flew up, and his temper got awayfrom him. And he lit the censor, to go anywhere, and God smoteleprosyonhimrighttherewhilehewasstandingthereinhisanger.Andhedied,aleper.Theyhadtotakehimoutofthetemple.

65 There iswherewewanta lessonnow. If thisman,whichGodhad blessed in his capacity, but he wasn’t satisfied with that. Hewantedtotakesomebodyelse’splace.Youcan’tbenothing^

As Congressman Upshaw, you remember him, the one thatwas_wascrippledforsixty-eightyearsandwashealedinthemeetingoutthere,youknow.HewasaCongressmanintheUnitedStates.Hesaid, “You can’t be nothing that you hain’t.”So that’s about true.You’vegottostayinyourcalling,whereGodcalledyouto.66 Now, as long as he remained king, and he was a blessing tothe people, being a king. But when he thought he was a minister,then^he thought, because God had blessed him, he could beanythinghewantedtobe.Buthewasablessingtothepeople,asaking;butnotablessing,hebecomeacurseuponthemashetriedtotaketheminister’splace.

And we have a lot of that. Everybody wants to pack the ball.See?67 When you’re playing a ball game, as it’s football season, thethingwewanttodo,isnoteverybodytrytotaketheballawayfromthemanthat’sgotit.Heistryingtoguardthatman,protecthim,lethimgetthrough.We’retryingtomakeagoal.See?68 Butcouldyou imaginea teamsountrainedas tofindoneman,theirownman,withtheballrunningtothefieldgoal,andtheninsteadoftryingtoknocktheenemyawayfromhim,theopposingteam,toletyourownmanthat’sgottheballtakeoffwithit,everymantryingtotaketheballoutofhishand?Why,you’reboundtolose.69 Andtodaywehavethesamething.WhenweseeGodcomeonthesceneandgoingtoblessacertainthing,let’skeepalltheenemiesawayfromit.Let’suseourinfluencesastackles,notrunners,tacklesthat protects the runner, lets him pack the ball through; becausethere’snoopposition,allhehastodoisjustkeeprunning.Andweshouldbetackles.70 I speak worldwide, you know, for the Full Gospel BusinessMen, around the world, organizing chapters. Not long ago, when,Ibelieve,itwasatKingston,Jamaica,whentheyhadCastroandallofthemupthereatthismeeting.Or,wehadbeendowntohisplace,that’sthewayitwas,andthecelebrityofallthroughtheislandwasup there. And those businessmen was trying to preach the Gospel.He’soutofhisplace.Wepreachershavehardenoughtimetokeepit level.Andtheyuseeverylittleinfluencetheycanfind,andeverylittletechniquethiswayandthatway,andkeepsitsoscruppledup,youdon’tknowwhattodo.

71 Manytimes,ina_inachurch,alittlechurchcanhavearevivalgoing on. Someone will want to go out here and lead a prayermeeting,andthenhe’sgotadifferentideafromwhatreallytheBiblesays,buthebelievesItthisway,anyhow,andhe’llstartaninfluenceanddrawothersawayfromIt. ThethingtodoisprotectthisMessage,thewayIt’sgoing.StayrightwithIt,andknockeverythingawayfromIt,ifwe’reevergoingtocrossthegoalline.Allright.72 And I said, “Brethren, there is something wrong. You fellowsarebusinessmen.Thefirstplace,youdon’tunderstandtheapproach.You don’t understand the approach to the ministry, because theministryisaGod-calledgift.” “God hath set in the Church, first apostles, prophets, teachers,evangelists,andpastors.”GodsetthemintherefortheperfectingoftheChurch. Businessmen should testify. Women, housewife, no matter ifyou’re the maid in somebody’s house, testify. Do everything youcanfortheKingdom,butdon’tneverinjectyourownideas.JustsaywhattheMessagesays,andkeepgoingon,see,andthenmaybeyouhave some influence. But don’t try to preach now until God, youknow,callsyou.Juststayrightwiththat,yourtestimony.Because,ifyoudon’t,you’llgetoffinthewrongcategory,andthenyou’llmessupeverything.That’sit.Anditdoesn’tpleaseGod,atall.73 Thisprovesithere.Whenthisking,now,whenhewasrebukedandtold theTruthbytheministerof thebuilding,andtriedto tellhim that he was wrong, that God called that for Aaron’s descentsonly,andtheywereconsecratedtothatserviceonly.That’salltheywas to do. They were consecrated for that. And a king, no matterhowrighteoushewas,orhowmuchGodhadblessedhim,hehadnorighttoburnincense.Hewastakingthepriest’splace,andheshouldnotdoit.Andwhenhewasrebuked,hegotwroth.Histemperflewup.Andrightwhilehistemperflewup,leprosyappearedinhisface.Hebrokeoutwithleprosy.Andthenhedroppedthecensor,runoutofthebuilding.See? Tryingtoimpersonatesomebodyelse,weshouldn’tdothat.74 In his anger, he done wrong, and he was smitten. Oh, it wascertainlyalessontothisyoungprophet,tosee,now,nomatterhowgreatthemanwas,hehadtoabideinhiscalling.75 I realize this is being taped, and I know it goes all over theworld, back into the jungles, and Hottentots, and everything else.ThisMessagehere, tonight,willbe translated into languages,but Isaythiswithallmyheart.Howcould^

Manypeoplesaying,“Whydon’tyoujoincertainorganization?Whydon’tyoucomeonwiththePentecostals?Whydon’tyoucomeonwiththis group?Whydon’tyoujustlettheselittlethingsgo?”76 How can I do it? I’ve got to stay with that Message. When,the Angel of the Lord appeared down there on the river, in thatLightthereasyousee;andwhenIt’sprovedbythegovernmentandeverywhereelse,withscience,scientificresearch,thatIt’stheTruth.AndHetoldmetostaywiththisWord.ThenhowcouldIswapItfor a creed? If those men are out there to do that, let them do it.But we was called to preach the Word. Don’t compromise. StandontheWord.77 Sonowyousee the reason that it’sadangerous thing to try tocompromise and do something else, or try to get lifted up withinyourself,andsay,“Oh,Icoulddothisandmakemoremoney.Icandothis,andallthebrethrenwillagreewithme.IcancompromiseonthisWord,and,oh,ninety-ninepercentof theirministerswill turnrightover, ‘That’s fine.That’sgood.’” Iknownow.Manyof themcall.What is it?“Loavesandfishes,”seeingthepeoplehealed,andthediscernments,andthepowersofGod,andsoforth,manifested.Theygetyouthere,togetmeetings,andtogetpeopleinthe^theirchurchesandthings.ButwhenitcomestoagreeingupontheWord,they’llgetawayfromIt.See?

Youcan’tdothat.StaywiththeWord.78 Now, this was a lesson to this young prophet, that, no matterwhathetriedtobe,hemuststayinhiscalling.Oh,my!Helearnedthere_there,God’sorderofmen.

God’s order to men is, “Stay in his place.” God’s order towomen, “Stay in their place,” too. You can’t take a man’s place.They’re trying to do it, but don’t do it. Men, don’t take women’splace. Don’t dress like women. And women, don’t dress like men.TheBiblesaysit’swrongtodothat.TheBiblesays,“Awomanthatputs on a garment pertains to a man, is filthiness before God, anabomination.”See?Butnowyoucanhardlytellonefromtheother.See? Now how you going to do but just call out against it? See?Well,then,whenyoudothat^79 Did you see this court order this week here in Indiana?[Congregation says, “Yes.”_Ed.] What a shame! Less than fifteenyearsago,afamilyhereinPortFulton^Ithinksomeofthefamilyis setting here tonight. Here in Port Fulton, they sent a little girlhome from school for wearing shorts to school. And to^Thisweek,they’retryingtosueandputoutoftheschool,andtheydidit,

alittlegirlthatrefusedtowearshortsinschool.What’sthematterwithournation?Ithoughtthiswasalandoffree.Ithoughtwehadaright,religiousfreedom.80 This father stood up and said, “It’s against our religious belieffor our children to wear shorts, our little girls, sixteen, seventeenyearsold,towearshorts.It’sagainstourreligiousbelief.”Andtheydismissedit,expelledthechildfromtheschool.81 I understand that everybody that won’t agree and come intothe^to the_the international agreement of this fellowship thatthey’re trying to form, to put, unite all churches together, thefederationof churches; that,all thatwon’t come inandunitewithit,they’llmakehimalittleprovince.They’regoingtosendthemtoAlaska.Youmightaswellget readyforcoldweather, ’cause lookslikeit’scoming.So,whatadisgrace!82 My life-long friend, Jim Poole, his son stands here tonight. Iwish his dad would only come and do what his son did. And weweretalkingtodaybytelephoneconversation,andhewasremarkingabout, Ibelieve, anews commentator, someone. Idon’t rememberjust who it was now. But, said, “It used to be that_that theAmerican people taken a bath once a week and prayed every day.And,”said,“nowtheytakeabatheverydayandprayonceaweek.”IbelieveI’dratherdowithoutthebath.Butjustshowshowwehavefallen!What’shappenedtothisnation?83 About five years ago, I was in Ohio, and I was having ameeting up there at the^[Someone says, “Chautauqua.”_Ed.]What is the name of that place where I had it out there, on that?[“Chautauqua.”]Chautauqua.AndIwas listeningtoanewscast inthehotel.Anditsaid,“Thefloweroffreedomdiedthisafternoon,inacourthereinOhio.”

The Amish people, they don’t believe in sending their childrento these public schools. They have their own schools. And in thiscertainneighborhoodwherethesewereat,theydidn’thaveanyhighschool. It’s the law of Ohio and Indiana, I think, a national law,that all children much go to school till they’re sixteen. And thismanhadacoupleofchildren,boyandgirl,thatwasn’tsixteen.Andthey refused to send them to the public schools where they teachtheethicsofDarwin,that,“Mandescendedfromasinglecell,beamonkey.Allheis,justaglorifiedmonkey.”And_andsotheydidn’tagreewiththat,andtheywon’tlettheirchildrenhearit.

And so the courts pulled them in. And this little smart aleckjudgesaidtotheoldagedfatherandmother,withhiscrockhaircut,

hisoverallson.Hesaid,“Sir,thisstateofOhiohasalawthatsaysthat the child must attend school till it’s sixteen. And” said, “yourefusedtosendyourchildren.Whatdoyouanswer?”84 Hesaid,“Honorablesir,Irespectthelawsofthislovelystateinwhich I amanative.”He said,“Butwecomehere,yearsago,ourforefathers,forfreedomofreligion.Andthat’swhywearehere,forfreedom of religion. Our religion teaches us that we don’t believethat we come from animals, to be man. That^We believe thatwe were created in the image of God. Therefore, it’s against ourreligiousbeliefs to sendour children toa school that teaches such.Therefore, we don’t have any high school here for our children togo. And it’s not because we don’t respect you. We respect whatyoubelieve.But,forus,wedon’tbelievethat,andwedon’twantittaughttoourchildren.” He said, “You’ll either send your children to school or youandyourwifewillspendtwoyears inthestatepenitentiary.”Said,“What’syourdecision?” He said, “Mother and I will spend the two years.” And theyturnedandstartedtowalkout. Theoldjudgemusthavefelta littlebitcondemned,sohesaid,“Remember,don’tyourBiblesay,‘GiveCaesarwhat’sCaesar’s’?” Andthefatherturnedaround,andhesaid,“‘AndtoGod^’?”Uh-huh.Uh-huh.Uh-huh. Themanonthenewssaid,“Well,thenthefreedom^” Andthejudgesaid,“Isentenceyoutotwoyears.” Hesaid,“Thenthefreedom,thefloweroffreedom,diedinthatcourtroom,thisafternoon.”85 After all, the Dunkards, or the Amish, rather, no matter howpeculiar they are, they believe in holy living. And there is not onerecord, nowhere in the United States, to where they ever had anyjuveniledelinquency.Notoneperson,onechild,fromtheirreligion,waseverajuveniledelinquent.Letthembepeculiar,whatevertheywanttobe,andraisedright.Idon’tblamethem.86 But, listen. The flower died there, right then. But, about tenminutes,itrevivedagain.Theprosecutingattorney,alloffofthem,pushedbacktheirbooks,andsaid,“Thenweresignfromourjob,for,ifyoubreakthatconstitutionalright,they’llbreaktherestofthem.”87 Did you notice the other day when that wise old Methodistbishop, what he said about that, saying that prayer, in_in_inschool? That wasn’t the Methodist church. That bishop was wise

enoughtoknowthat.Thatwasanothergroup,seeinghowfartheycouldget,toforceacertainprayerin_inschools.Iftheywouldpassonthat,they’dpasstheotheronejustasquickastheycould.Theyareprobingeveryoutlettheycan.Don’tworry,they’llgetit.88 So,wewantthecross.WewantChristnowwhilewecan.Don’tbe influenced by men who maybe can send more pottage down.Don’tbeinfluencedformenthat’llgiveyouabettermachinetoridein, or a better home to live in, and sell your birthrights, to Christ.Youdo it.Watchwhatyou’redoing.Always follow thatonewhoisinfluencedandisbackedupbyGod,thatyouknowwhereGodiswiththem.Don’tfollowwronginfluence.Yes.Allright.

Don’ttrytotakeanother’splace.89 The vision at the temple, he saw, on_on a Throne, God liftedup,Godbeingliftedup.

Now, you see this king, that he had made an example beforeIsaiah.AndIsaiahseen that thatking,as soonashegotoutofhiscalling, well, God smote him with leprosy. Then Isaiah thought,“Whatmust Ido?”Uzziahwasdead.Hehad leanedheavyonhisarm.Andhethoughthewasgone;whatwouldhedo?Lifeitselfwasgone,forhim,nearly.Sowhatdidtheyoungprophetdo?Hemadehiswaydowntothetemple,topray.Hefelldownatthealtar,andhecriedout.90 Sometimes God lets the very props be knocked from underus. Sometimes He lets sickness strike us. He lets disappointments,heartachesstrikeus.SometimesHedoesthattogetyouwhereyou’dbe influencedby theGospel.Bewise enough to catch It.Don’tbestupidenoughtowalkawayfromIt.Uh-huh.91 Notice. Isaiah knowed that he must find something different.Sowhatdidhedo?Hewenttothetemple.Heraiseduphishands,andhecriedouttoGod.Andhefellintoavision.Andashefellintothe vision, he saw God, not on a throne down here, but lifted up,way up. Oh, my! His train was following Him. Lifted up into theHeavens,andhesaw,backandforth,throughthetemple,Seraphimsflying.Oh,my!

Seraphim,itmeans“burners,”thewordSeraphimmeans.Which,ItisnexttotheAltar.Actually,theSeraphimsistheOnewhoreceivesthe sacrifice, and cleanses the worshiper, and then presents him toGod, theSeraphimdoes.Now,thisSeraphimswasAngelicBeings.AndTheyaretheverynextOnestoGod,rightattheAltar,andTheyreceivethesacrifice.ItshowsthejusticeofGod,thatsincannotcomeinHisPresenceunlessit’sbeenatonedfor.See?

92 And these Seraphims, remember, in the seven church ages,how They guarded them Gospels, One on either side! Remember,we took Them back to the garden of Eden, with a flaming Swordstandingthere?TheyguardtheAltar.93 And Isaiah, that great prophet, when he fell into the Spirit, hesaw,first,Godsettingwayup intotheHeavens,aboveanyearthlyking. Said, “I saw the King, the Lord, setting high and lifted up.”ThenhesawtherealKing.“AndHistrainwasfollowingHim.”94 And he saw Seraphims flying through the building. They hadwingsoverTheir face,wingsoverTheir feet,andTheywere flyingwithtwowings.AndTheywerecrying,“Holy,holy,holy,LordGodAlmighty.Holy,holy,holy,LordGodAlmighty.”Whata_whatamusic!Whatarhythm! You say, “They must have been saying it very lightly, ‘Holy,holy,holy,LordGodAlmighty.’”95 Isaiahsaid,“WhenTheyspoke,thepillarsofthebuildingshookatTheirVoice.”96 Theywasn’tjustsaying,now,“Holy,holy,holy.” Oh,whataVoice!Andsaid,“Andthepillarsmovedandshookat Their Voice.” They were screaming. Those Angelic Beingsstandingnext to the sideofGod, scream,“Holy,holy,holy, is theLordGodAlmighty.”Whatavision!Whew!Oh,my!97 Notice again. This prophet saw His Voice shake the pillarsin the temple when They holler, “Holy, holy, holy, Lord GodAlmighty!”Andthebuildingshook.AndTheyholleragain,“Holy,holy,holy,LordGodAlmighty!”Andthebuildingshook.128 Isaiahsaid,“Woeisme!”Aprophet,avindicatedprophet,borna prophet, the major prophet of the Bible, and he said, “Woe isme,formyeyeshaveseenthegloryofGod.”Lookatthatprophethumble himself. He has to have a D.D.D., Ph.D. beforehe can even come, talk to us. Our boards will not have him, ifhedoesn’t.”Oh,my. “Thebest_best crowd in the country comes.Look at the cars that set around our places. They’re Cadillacs andRickenbackers,andsoforth.”170 We’veseenthatthingdie.Weseeitdead.Andthewholethinghasbecome full of imputed, aided sores, putrefied sores, rather, asthe Bible calls it. It’s all sores, altogether. It stinks. That’s right.Spirituallyspeaking,I’msayingit.See?Uh-huh.171 Weseenthemlosetheirholdandgrip,ontheWordofGod,andexalt creeds. What did we see it do? Struck with leprosy, unbelief.Huh.My,oh,my! LikeUzziah,triedtotaketheplaceofHisanointed,ofanointedoffice,afterhedonebeenstruck,andhefoundhefailedit. And we’ve seen these churches try to take the place of theanointedoffice,topreachtheWordofGod,andbecomebumfuzzlewith It. They don’t know what to do. foranotherday.”What is it?They’reconfused.HowcanyouholdtheofficeofGod’sanointedanddenyHisanointedWordwhichisHimself inWord form?Howcanyoudeny theWord is right, andthenstillsaythatyou’reanointedwiththeSpirit?172 The only thing that’ll manifest the Word of God is the HolyGhost Itself. “When He, the Holy Ghost will come, He will takethesethingsofMineandshowthemtoyou.”Right. Howcanyou take theplaceofanointedofficeandbelong toacreedordenomination?They’redead.The thing todo is falldownandcryout,“LordGod,I’mamanofuncleanlips.”Yes,sir.173 Them denominations try to take the place of the holy Church.“We believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heavens andearth, and Jesus Christ His Son. We believe in the holy RomanCatholic church and all these different things. We believe incommunionofsaints.”174 I believe in the communion of Christ. Yes, sir. I believe saintsareinGlory.Sure.ButIbelievewehaveoneMediatorbetweenGodandmen.Yes,sir.Pokethatstuff?Here,theBiblecontradictsthat. Theysay,“Well,that’stheBible.” That’s God. “The Word was God. And the Word was madeflesh,anddweltamongus.”NowtheWordis inourflesh,makingItselfmanifested,anointedbytheHolyGhost.Timetogoinaction!That’sright.175 Theeffectsof thevisionupontheprophet,oh,my,causedhimto confess that he was a sinner. Anointed prophet, he said, “I’ma man of unclean lips. I’m wrong. I’ve done wrong. I’m unclean,myself.” He was a sinner. He confessed his sin. Yes, sir. Causeda prophet of God to confess that he was a sinner, that’s what thevisiondone. Some D.D.D., Ph.D. will laugh at It, supposed to be somehierarchyofsomechurch.176 Youhearwhat thecardinalsaid, thatnewscast today?Hesaid,“There is some that teaches that the return of the Lord is comingsoon.” Says, “Of course, we’ll have to get rid of that bunch. He went to hisknees.Andhe said,“I’mamanofunclean lips.”Then,as soonashe confessed, then come the cleansing. I hope you’re not asleep. Oh, my! Speak, and somethinghappened.Glory!184 What happened? Then we find out, he confessed his sin. Andjustassoonashedone it, thisgreatVoice thathadbeenspeaking,flew down. Took His hands, took the tongs, picked up a coal,placed It upon His hand. Come, laid It upon Isaiah’s lips, andcleansedhim.185 Notice, he never sent him off to get a Ph.D. degree. He nevergive him a book of rules to learn. But He, God, was showing theprophetthatHiscleansingpowerwasbyFireoffthealtar.Amen.

God’s cleansing power today is not recite a creed or join achurch.It’sthepoweroftheHolyGhostandFirethatcomesdownandcleansesamanfromallofhisunbelief.Amen.186 God’swayofcleansingaprophetisbyfire,notbycreed.Whatwould a prophet know about a creed? He is going to be used ofGod.TheWordwasgoingtobemademanifestthroughhim.SoHecouldn’tgivehimacreed,he’dbeholdingon to thatcreed.SoHetooktheFireoffthealtarandcleansedtheprophet.187 Confession, first, then cleanliness by the Fire. Glory to God!Oh, watch! Confession, first; cleansing, second; commission, third.Amen. There you are. First, confessing, “I’m wrong.” Second,cleansing.Justification, sanctification,and thebaptismof theHolyGhost. Confession; cleansing; commissioning. “Go ye into all theworld and preach the Gospel. These signs will follow them thatbelieve.”Amen.188 After confession come cleansing. After cleansing comescommissioning. Preach the Gospel, heal the sick, no matter whatpeoplesaid.189 He finally, that precious little prophet, died under persecution,bybeingsawedtopieceswithasaw.Huh!190 Remember,itwaswhenIsaiahmadehisconfessionthathewaswrong.Hehadbeenaltogetherwrong.Hehadbeenleaninguponhiscreed, see, leaning upon the_the man, a man-made affair. A creed can’t say It that way. Acreedcan’tdoitthatway.IttakesChristtodoitthatway. And as soon as he saw that, he said, “Now, I been altogetherwrong, Lord.” And then come the cleansing. Then come thecommissioning.Oh,my!191 ItwasthenthatthecleansedIsaiah^whenGodcalled,“WhowillgoforMe?” And it was Isaiah that said, “Lord, here am I. Send me.” Thecleansedprophet!192 Oh, don’t you see, influence? Don’t take the influence ofMarthella. Ihope that’snotaname inhere.Don’t take thenamesof_oftheinfluenceofsomelittlegirlthatgoestohighschoolwithyou,orcommonschool,orthenextdoorneighborthatcutsherhairandwearsshorts.Don’t take influence.Don’t takethe influenceofsomecreededpastorthatwoulddenytheWordofGodandgiveyouacreed.Don’ttakethatinfluence. ButstandthereuntilyouseethegloryofGodfall,seesomethingmovebyitseffect,seeithappenjustthewaythatGodsaidit.Thencry out, “Woe is me, Lord. I been wrong. You seen that prophet. He was a great man. He was born forthepurposeofbeingaprophet.Hefoundoutthathehadtookthewrongroad.Hewas leaningonthearmofUzziah,aking.Hesawyou can’t lean upon the arms of flesh. It’s perishable. It’s wrong.But look high and see God setting high upon His throne. Lookup there at Jesus. He said, “I’m the same yesterday, today, andforever.” Let Him pick you up in the Spirit.
