Recently, in the synthetic fiber industry, due to labor
shortages and soaring labor costs, it has become a pressing
issue to increase productivity and reduce manpower costs. In
order to respond to market dynamics, TMT Machinery
released the new “ATF-1500” False Twisting Machine in
2009 taking advantage of the company’s superiority and
accumulated technology and know-how as a leading
manufacturer specializing in synthetic fiber manufacturing
machines.
By adopting the latest machine designs, the ATF-1500 has
achieved high speed and automation capabilities as well as
higher productivity at 384 spindles per machine. This
machine contributes to reducing overall factory construction
costs and running costs as a result of its low-floor compact
layout design in comparison to conventional machines. The
ATF-1500 False Twisting Machine has been recognized for its
superior performance and quality around the market, and
more than 380 machines have already been installed around
the world.

For the take-up configuration, the conventional 24 spindles/span has been increased to 32 spindles/span. The number of spans has been extended to 12 spans/machine (a total of 384 spindles) from the conventional 10 spans/machine (a total of 240 spindles), increasing production volume 1.6 times compared to conventional machines.
The conventional contact type vapor phase heater and contact type cooling plate have been changed to non-contact type HTH (High Temperature Short Heater) and SCP (Suction Cooling Plate) in the twisting zone. The HTH is a cassette type zig-zag guide arrangement to achieve non-contact stable heating and texturizing with low tension. New SCP can achieve non-contact, low tension and smooth tail passing by internal yarn guides in TMT original suction type cooling method.
Further package quality improvement can be achieved by the individual spindle driven belt traverse mechanism. Spindles can be controlled individually by various programs to avoid ribbons, bulges.
In order to increase productivity even further, an individual auto doffer (IAD) has been mounted in the ATF-1500. Manual doffing is not required which reduces manpower and can also secure the package quality. Two packages can be stocked at the individual spindle position, and can also coordinate with the automation system. This machine is running all over the world with stable full package ratio.
