NOTES:

❏ I suggest that you first read each section before starting.

❏ Pieces are crocheted separately and then sewn together.

❏ Stuff each piece gradually as you go.

❏ The use of stitch markers at the beginning of each row is highlyrecommended.

❏ Work in continuous spiral rounds. Unless specified, do not join at the end ofeach round.

❏ Finishing off or fastening off your pieces are done in many ways. For acomplete closed piece, weave your yarn with an embroidery needle underthe front loops of the last round. Pull tight to close the gap and hide the extrayarn in the center of the piece. Finishing an open piece that attaches toanother, you can do a slip stitch to the first stitch, cut the yarn, weave in theend and then hide it in that piece. There are other ways to do an invisiblefinish. Please research this and find the best way for you to complete each ofyour pieces.

❏ After completing the pieces that are stuffed, shape them with your hands bygently squeezing the sides and/or the top and bottom of the pieces to createa perfect shape.

❏ To get the right placement of each piece, use pins to place them beforesewing together. You can never have too many pins.

❏ When I crochet my patterns, I always use an invisible decrease. This is anoption for you to use or learn, to have a cleaner looking decrease whenworking a pattern. The decreases in this pattern are basic stitches to keep itsimple. Although I encourage you to seek out ways to use invisible stitches inyour work. You will NOT be disappointed!

❏ Happy crocheting

ATTACHING PIECES ANDADDING DETAILS

HAIR PART 1Pin the hair on the head with 6 rows showing on the back of the neck and lower head. This willleave 16 rows from the bottom of the front of the neck to the hair. Before attaching, place pinsmarking the eyes 11-12 rows above the shirt line with 5 stitches between. * See photos. Pin thehair curls down to the face in the placement you prefer.

EARSPin the ears to the side of the head. There should be at least 4 stitches between each eye and eachear. They also should be positioned where the top of the ear is lined up to the top of the eye. Adjustthe longer hair curls around each ear if you need. When the ears look even, attach with anembroidery needle.

HAIR PART 2Attach the hair by sewing around the head in a circle. Then comeback and sew each of the hair curls down where you had pinnedthem in place. Hide all tails inside the head.

ARMS AND STRAPSStarting on the side of the body, 1 row downfrom the top of the shirt color and 7 stitchesbetween, attach the arms on each side of thebody. Try attaching them where your colorchange is under the arms. If you require thearms to lay more against the body, you canalways add a few wip stitches near the middleof the arms to secure the arms down. Hide alltails inside the body.Sew each of the straps from the front of thebib, to the left over FLO on the back of thepants at the waist. They should beapproximately 5 stitches apart. Hide all tailsinside the body.

BUNNow time to sew the bun to the top of thehead. Make sure to sew down the bun multipletimes to prevent it from coming loose.

EYE DETAILSUsing embroidery thread AA, enter the needlethrough the side of the head and out the frontbottom corner of the first eye. At this time, insert your needle back through the insidecorner of the eye. This will outline the eye. Pullthe yarn up through the top pin location, wrapthe needle around the thread and out thesame stitch. Pull the thread down through theside of the head where you originally started.Tie off and hide yarn inside the head. Repeatsteps for the second eye.

NOSEUsing yarn A, make a nose by wrapping the yarn around 2 stitches in the center of the face. Hidetails inside the head. *See photo on next page.
