March will see a great change for our current and new Ambassadors. The Ambassadors for the Rankin Chamber are a vital part of our work. The Ambassador is charged with attending ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings and other Chamber networking events.
The Mission of the Rankin County Chamber of Commerce is to create an environment which promotes business and education, develops leadership,
and enhances the quality of life throughout Rankin County.
Our Mission
Calling All Ambassadors!
I was asked the other day if someone should be a part of the Ambassadors. My answer was, “It Depends." If you want to go to ribbon cuttings and groundbreakings and connect with other Ambassadors, then it’s a great thing. In most cases, you get to meet and welcome the new business owner to the Chamber. Did you catch that? The business owner! One of the most difficult things in Business to Business sales and networking is getting to the decision maker. What better way for you to connect than to be there when they cut their ribbon!
There is a meeting at Cerami’s on March 13th at 11:30 for all current Ambassadors and those interested in becoming an Ambassador. If this sounds even remotely interesting, why don’t you come out and see what it is all about. You don’t have a lot to lose. At the very least, you will get a chance to meet others that are interested and get a great meal.

rankin County Community health Fair
The 4th Annual Rankin County Community Health Fair was held on February 19th at the Brandon Civic Center. February was Heart Month and this year’s theme was “Be a Hero To Your Health.” More than 300 were in attendance and took advantage of free health screenings, visited the vendor booths and were treated to musical entertainment by Big Earl from Pearl, a hamburger lunch and door prizes.
Special thanks to our emcee, Noel Daniels and to all our event sponsors and vendors. See you next year!
