IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise): recommendation for standard rules “The goal of the IHE initiative is to stimulate integration of
healthcare information resources to improve clinical care.” IHE provides considerable standardization advantages with the extensive function range of products and a greater selection of solution approaches.
IHE does not formulate any new standards, instead it consistently uses existing standards (like HL7, ebXML and DICOM).
