Part 1 Before First Use

Formatting the microSD

Resetting the cameraIf the camera malfunctions for any reason, reset it with the included pin. A small paperclip can also be used.

Before the first use, charge the camera for about 20 minutes�via your PC or USB charger (Power adapter should be no more than 5V/1A).

Charging the camera

Before the first use, format the microSD to FAT32 format. The camera only supports class 10 microSD with at least an 8GB capacity. It supports cards up to 32 GB.

It contains important information for your safety as well as operating and maintenance instructions.• Follow all safety precautions in order to prevent damage due to improper use of the camera.• Keep this user manual carefully for future use. Before Using Your Conbrov T16 Camera

1. Charging your camera

(1) Charge the camera for about 20 minutes via your PC or USB charger 5V/1A.(2) Connect the supplied USB cable to the Micro USB port and a suitable USB port on your PC or a USB charger (separate charger not included). The camera must remain off during charging.(3) While charging, the LED lights up yellow and turns off completely when the camera is fully charged.

2. Installing the microSD

Caution! Format the microSD before use. Doing this, however, will remove all data from the card. Make sure to back up any data before formatting.

(1) Only support a Class 10 microSD with at least 8GB capacity for recording.

3. Setting the date and timeInsert the microSD card into the card reader and connect the card reader to your PC. After a few seconds the microSD card will be shown as a removable disk. Open the SETTIME.TXT file.

(2) Do not connect or remove the microSD during operation, this will damage both card and camera.(3) Do not force the microSD into the microSD slot, this will damage both card and camera. It only goes in one way.(4) Ensure that the microSD clicks into place when inserting it. To remove the microSD, slightly pull it out from the slot.

Note: If you cannot find the file SETTIME.TXT after opening the microSD on the computer, please record a video clip to activate the card and set the date and time again. The date and time will remain accurate unless the battery has been depleted for long time.

Note: If no microSD is inserted, the LED will flash blue for 10 seconds.

1. The battery power is too low and the camera must be charged.2. The camera has been in standby mode without any operation for longer than 1 minute. In this case, the camera switches off to save battery power.

(1) In standby mode, press and hold The LED will flash blue 3 times. A 5-minute video clip will be recorded. Press again to stop recording, and the LED will stay blue.

(2) In standby mode, press to take a photo. The LED will flash blue one time for 3 seconds.

How to Use Your Conbrov T16 Camera

In standby mode , press The LED will flash red 3 times and enter into 2-minute test recording. After that, sound detector will sense the environment per 2 minutes.

Connect the T16 camera to computer, press and hold the for more than 3 seconds or take out the microSD, insert it into the card reader (included), then connect the card reader to computer.

LED will flash 3 times red At the end of the recording the LED lights up red again.

If triggered by any sound greater than 60dB, the LED will flash red 3 times, and begin to record video, 2minutes/clip. If not triggered, the red LED keeps on.

Press to stop recording back to standby mode,the LED will stay blue.

Other Tips

1. How to Reset the CameraUse the supplied pin or similar tool (like a paperclip) to reset your camera in case of a malfunction. Press and hold the Reset Button for several seconds to reset the camera to standard factory settings.

1. Q: Why is the camera charging so slowly? A: The charging current is too low. Charge with 5V/1A.

2. Q: The camera connected to PC cannot be read. A: Reset the camera as described in Chapter “Resetting the camera”. A: Check the USB port of the computer for correct connection and damages. A: Check the USB cable for damages.

3. Q: The camera The camera does shut down during operation. A: Remove the memory card, and then reset the camera.

4. Q: The LED turns on unexpectedly, button operation not possible. A: Reset the camera as described in Chapter “Resetting the camera”.

5. Q: The blue LED flashes fast, video cannot be saved. A: The memory card may be damaged, replace the microSD card.

6. Q: Video time is not updated. A: Save the modified time. Modify the time without changing the date and time format.

7. Q: Playback mode seems to be in slow motion, not smooth, broken up. A: It's reading memory card too slowly. We recommend using a high-quality class 10 microSD card with at least 16GB capacity.

8. Q: The video cannot be played, no sound, no picture. A: Use a different media player.

9. Q: Placing the camera flat on the table for video recording lets a white bar appear at the bottom of the video. A: The camera is small and the lens is close to the bottom of the camera. The desktop reflects the white light to the lens. Use the bracket, or place the camera near the edge of the desk.
