Dureza Rockwell (HRC y HRB) y la dureza Brinell (HB o BHN) son los más utilizados para la fundición de acero y hierro. Aunque no hay tablas de conversión precisos y ecuaciones, pero podemos recomendar los siguientes fórmulas y tablas de comparación de acuerdo con la experiencia y las normas.
