MESSAGE FROM MR. KLOTZ: "A student in Roosevelt Junior High School has

so many advantages over many other students in this area. A full-time counselor and a part -time nurse supplement the administrative staff. Spe-cial teachers in art, music, dramatics, intramurals, industrial arts, home economics, and athletics en­rich the usual fundamental learning areas. I have been pleased to note the tremendous enthusiasm and the marked academic growth of the students in the junior high school this year."

MESSAGE FROM MR. McCLURE: "Another great year for the Roosevelt Junior High School! This was shown by

a successful Ninth Grade Play, a smooth Sing and Swing, and a wonderful night for the Orchestra and Band with Rafael Mendez. The Eighth Grade won a basket­ball championship and each of the grades won a track championship. To top this off the golf team won the SEK championship. All of this, coupled with a fine aca­demic year combined to keep us at the top of junior high schools in Kansas. "

The Ninth Grade Reception---An Enchanted Evening

Sarah Bagby uses Terry Toney's back for bit of autographing on her program.

The reception was at 6:45p.m. on April 28 and a southern background was used to create the theme.

A musical program was given by the students and followed the general theme of "An Enchanted Evening"

Ann Bowlus, Sam Shaw, Bob Misegades, Mike Schwinn, Barbara North, and Mary Jane Wagner are enjoying the refreshments.
