TIgER TOT clAss

Students as young as 2 1/2years old can benefit from aMartial Arts program. TheTiger Tot class offers thebasics of Martial Arts techniques combined with

tumbling. The primaryfocus of the class is learningsocial skills, focus andrespect. Learning to getalong with others coupledwith the increased self-confidence gained fromincreased coordination, willgive the child a head start asthey enter school.

TAEKWONDO

Taekwondo classes areoffered for men, women,families and children.Classes are offered 6 days aweek, from noon to late atnight. Ideal for beginners.

hApKIDO

Hapkido classes are offeredto all teens and adults.

Children who have complet-ed the test for their firstdegree Black Belt inTaekwondo may also join.

Our Lady Tigers program isa hybrid martial art devel-oped especially for women.This style includes thelearning of forms for bal-ance and focus. The curricu81

Learn to read, write andspeak Korean. Assistance

with curriculum term-inology and questions onthe written tests. Parentsmay attend this class withtheir children. Offeredevery week in the DragonDoe-jahng.

REDmAN sEmINARs

These are reality basedscenario style training semi-nars. The first line of train-ing is to learn how not to bea target. When all preventa-tive measure are exhausted,the need to defend may berequired. The “Redman” istrained as a “woofer” toelicit an adrenal response.With the aid of a coach, thestudent learns how to over- 82

ride the negative effects ofadrenal and use energy totheir advantage. This seminaris free and offered theMonday after regular testingsduring the 6:00 sparring class.

TIgER TOT sAsh TEsT

The Tiger Tot classes offer thesame requirements for testingto Yellow Stripe as the otherstudents and those requiredfor certification. Theserequirements have been bro-ken down into smaller incre-ments, achievable step-by-step. The Tiger Tots will earncolored sashes to show theirprogress until they are readyto upgrade into our tradition-al Taekwondo program.

pROmOTION TEsTINg

Testing requirements aretaught in "rank specific" class-es, they are also located in thismanual. As you learn the firsthalf of your testing form, youwill be presented with oneblack stripe on your belt. Asecond black stripe is for thecompletion of the form, andthe white stripe means youhave completed the hand tech-niques/self defense and are

ready for the formal belt test-ing. The formal belt testingsare offered every two months.Upon enrolling, fill out theprojected testing dates locatedin the testing section of thismanual. Your instructors willhelp you “Keep on track forBlack” by placing remindersticker dates on your atten-dance card. See the officeimmediately if you veer offtrack, we are here to help you.

Earning a Black Belt meansyou have surpassed thefoundation of Martial Artsand are embarking on a newjourney. Black Belt tests are

offered two times a year andjudged by a panel of certifiedMasters and Grandmasters.All White Tiger issued BlackBelts are certified by theWorld Taekwondo Federationand recognized by theInternational OlympicCommittee. Hapkido belts are certified through theKorean Hapkido Federation.

cATchup cAmp

CatchUp Camp is offered in the weeks prior to testing in a workshop format.Students may attend the camp to brush up for testing, or catch up if theyhave fallen behind on their goals. See the office for tickets.

White Tiger offers incredibleBirthday Parties for ourstudents and to the public.The party begins with ademonstration by TeamWhite Tiger - consisting ofMasters and students. Afterthe demo, the party guestsare invited to participate ina Taekwondo class. Guestswill learn warm ups,stretching, punching andwill even have a chance tokick the targets. After theplayland and zipline, every-one settles down for thesamurai sword cake cuttingceremony and to open thebirthday gifts. Book early,dates and times are limited.

Several times a year, WhiteTiger offers a date night forparents. Children arrive at8:00 we provide the pizzaparty and fun activities forthem until midnight soparents may go out on adate. We’ll play, train, climb,slide, munch and watch amovie on the giant screen.Kids are asked to bring asleeping bag and comfort-able clothes. Students,siblings, friends andstudent's children areinvited to attend.

TOuRNAmENTs

Tournament competitionis not required for anystudent to advance in rank.But for students wishing toparticipate in tournamentcompetition, White Tigeroffers special classes andspecial teams. Students are invited to attend"Friendship" tournaments

held at the school severaltimes a year. In addition,students may compete at alocal, state, national andeven international level.

The Bodystat unit offers aquick, easy and non-evasivemethod to measure bodycomposition including bodyfat, lean mass and total bodywater. Body-stat works byusing electrodes to pass asignal through the body tomeasure the impedance.Ideal for competitors, serious
