Cylinder HeadThe cylinder head sits above the cylinder block and consists of a platform containing part of the combustion chamber that locates the valves and spark plugs. The cylinder head is key to the performance of the internal combustion engine as the shape of the combustion chamber, inlet passages and ports determine a major portion of the volumetric efficiency and compression ratio of the engine. Like the cylinder block, precise machining is crucial in producing the highest quality parts that are safe, reliable and efficient. The crankshaft is the part of the engine that translates reciprocatinglinear piston motion into rotational motion. Crankshafts can be forged from a steel bar usually through roll forging or cast in ductile steel.At TaeguTec, we offer a wealth of solutions specifically designed towards machining the high tolerances and complexities of the different materials used in this vital part of the engine in order to fabricate the highly efficient crankshafts that are needed in today’scomplex automobiles.

CranksHaft

The connecting rod or con-rod connects the piston to the crankshaft. Connecting rods are generally made of steel for production engines, but can also be made of aluminum or titanium for high-performance engines in which TaeguTec offers a series of technologically advanced cutting tools that increase productivity, minimize inventory and reduce costs.

ConneCting rodThe camshaft is a component that operates the poppet valves. It consists of a cylindrical rod running the length of the cylinder bank with several oblong lobes or cams protruding from it, one for each valve. CamsHaft
