KK are loving being in Kindergar-
ten! We have been very busy
learning new things and making
new friends.
In K/1W we are prac-

beginning to do some
excellent learning. We
are making friends and
having fun!
KC have all settled in well and are
enjoying playtime, learning and
making friends. And we’ve had a

Mrs Grant and Mrs McAllister are
very proud of the way KG have
settled into school. We have all
loved playing in the sandpit and
learning the rules on the Ausplay
at lunchtime and recess. We are
going to the big playground this
week. Ivy Wallace was KG’s
‘Student of the Week’. Well done
Ivy!
STAGE 1 NEWS
Stage One have been very busy writing about shared experiences. The teachers
loved hearing all about the student’s holidays. Stage One have been working on Re-
counts and Retells of our favourite shared stories. We discuss who, what, where,
when and why. We look forward to see Year One and Two blossom over the year
with their writing. 1/2M
Here is a picture of our ‘wow wall’ with some of
'Our summer holidays' pieces, and then pic-
tures of students doing descriptive responses.
Keep on trucking 1/2M!
1/2C have been sprouting new ideas and goals with
their writing. We have responded to stories such as;
Frog Finds a Place and Up and Down by Oliver Jef-
fers. We are discussing the friendship dynamics in
these stories and relating them to our own experienc-
es. As a class we discuss the story and then create a
response as a team.
1/2T are shining bright with their Summer Holiday
responses. The students are enjoying their inde-
pendent writing and have already learnt so much
about writing a recount.
This week in 1/2B
the children have been putting
their best hand forward for their
handwriting lessons.
These students were the finalists.
In 1/2K we have been reading
Oliver Jeffers stories such as Up
and Down. We wrote a response
to this book and had fun creat-
ing some wonderful artwork
