Ragini means melody, it is also the culmination of our mother’s names - Rahima and Gini. So like the notes that makeup a perfect melody we combine flavours and aromas, creating the authentic taste of Bengal with recipes that have been passed down through the generations.

To Bengalis food is a very integral part of our everyday lives. The Kitchen is the busiest part of the house from dawn till dusk. We carry on that tradition in our restaurant kitchen, with authentic Bengali cooking using only the freshest and best ingredients. We prepare all our own spice mixes and marinades using traditional preparation techniques served with love to your table.

At Ragini we are very enthusiastic about sustainable dining so we use local Devon and Dorset ingredients wherever possible and are always looking for new ways to become more eco-friendly, such as reducing waste, avoiding single use plastic and recycling.
