B I R T H D A Z EOne!You have no hairTwo!You start to learn about circles and squaresThree! You begin understanding your placeFour!Your brain has no information to wasteFive!Kindergarten is what you beginSix!Start sports, shoot hoops, and then you winSeven!Pretty simple, you know many thingsEight! You're between a kid and a teenNine! You're fine (You're nine)Ten!Double digits, I came to Random house and wrote this rhyme (then)

One is fun and my life has just begun. Two is still new but I'm growing too.Three is when I'm free and can just be me. Four is a bore – I want to soar!Five is when I'm still alive.Six is mixed.Seven is like heaven.Eight is great.Nine is mine.

I'm one I can't talk I can't walk.I am two I am through.I'm three I want to climb a tree.I'm four my job is to ignore.I'm five I am alive.I'm six I'm mixed.I'm seven I am in heaven.I'm eight I feel like I'm bait.I'm nine I am fine.I'm ten I am a busy pen.

One is funTwo I'm trueThree it's meFour I have moreFive I'm aliveSix I can do tricksSeven I'm in heavenEight I like cakeNine I'm fine

OneI've won!I'm finally born!TwoMe too!I'm thinkin' moreThreeYippee!This is getting funFourC'mon more!Yet another birthdayFiveI'm alive!I'm out of dreamlandSixClock ticksGettin' olderSeven5 years 'til elevenEightTime for a play dateNineThat's mine!Only one year 'til I'm...TenThen I picked up my pen(and wrote this.)

When I'm one I'm clueless, not caring, not sharing

When I'm two I just think of cows, they go moo just like you

When I'm three I find a tree, the perfect one for me

Speaking of four that's when I like sportsand I meet five Morts

Say, how many Morts? Five - that's when I really want a carand I think I'll be a superstar

Six, that's when I liked blueWhat? So do you?

When seven I meet Evan(who is eleven)

When eight I'm never lateunlike Nate

Now I'm nineand now I can rhyme

just like a mime

When I was one, I did not have fun,I could not walk, I could not run. When I was two, I wore my first shoe,Started to speak, and losing the goo. When I was three, I said "Mummy,"Was able to walk, able to remember what I could see. When I was four, I learned to draw,Though I wasn't any good, at least I could do more. When I was five, I felt more alive,I was at school, and losing the drool. When I was six, I liked to pick up sticks,Walking in the park, my dad pulling tricks. When I was seven, I felt in heaven,I could do a lot yet I wasn't eleven.

I am one a sonof momNow I'm two havethe blues stuck in meI'm three fell outof a treeFour got poorFive I hit a hiveSix got mix in my familySeven my fish went toheavenEight I can wash a plateNine I can draw a line

When I was oneI saw the sunThen I turned twoThen I had work to doThen I turned threeI said wheee! Then I turned fourI had more candy and moreThen I turned fiveI saw a beehiveThen I turned sixI got to mixThen I turned sevenMy older cousin was elevenThen I turned eightI had a mateThen I turned nineI had some wineOh I turned tenYes I turned ten but I said when

You are one,The fun has just begun,Now you're two,You hear pigeons go coo,You are three,You feel free,Now you're four,What's even more?Add two and three now you've got five,This is the jive,Somehow you're six,You listen to Styx,Now you're seven,This feels like heaven,Oh, you're eightDon't be late,Nine, nine, nine, nine, nine,You feel so fine,Uh oh, you're ten,You're double digits then,You are eleven,You meet a guy named Kevin

When I became one, it was funMy first year was already doneBut when I was two I was happy; I went to the zooMy life was too good to be trueWhen I turned threeI got stung by a beeAnd it hurt, really, really badlythe day I turned fourI walked into a doorOh, my body was so soreDuring my year of fiveI took my first diveIt didn't work, but I'm still alive

one is fun with nothing to dothen it's two, you're quite newthree is easy, sneezy, queazyfour's galore and nothing morefive's the best, you get your restthat stops at six with schools and rulesseven's busy as can be with many an activityeight is homework - do beware, frighteningteachers will give you a scare!nine is fine you're used to school and thenyou're tenand then and then!

I love warm weatherI love summer so so muchThe pretty sunset

The lime green meadowwas silent and lonesome withthose bright pink flowers

Purple butterfly,You make me feel so aliveIn the warm sunshine

summer is full ofblues and reds and animalsthat love themselves so

In the green forestThe cow felt the acid burnBut it snowed bacon

The big dog sat downobediently on the warmyellow Autumn floor

sitting on a perchlarge yellow eyes make mesquirmI spy a big owl

My dog Rufus digsalways, barks and runs in leavesI love my Rufus

I see it, the whitemelts, it melts right in your handwhen throwing snowballs

Rain falls on the roofGolden light from my old lampThunder streaks the sky

With all of it's mightthe butterfly flaps its wingsover the white snow
